Michael said he had a nice Christmas. He said he had something else for me. He gave me a pair of socks from his sister? That was nice of him/her :) we visited and then he wanted to go to lunch upstairs before we went to the store. He was nice and helped me with my coat at lunch. We went to Walgreen's and picked up a few things and then he wanted to go to D.I. He was there for a while. Finally he said "Lets get out of here". I dropped him off and helped him with his groceries and started a movie before I left. I will see him at the beginning of the New Year! Happy New Year Michael! (We didn't get to his exercises today but I left them out for him to do. He told me that he would.) :)

We skipped exercises today. Michael wanted to go to D.I. He ended up buying me a purse. How nice! Thank you Michael! He said I had to have it and held onto it. He said he wanted
to go to the new place for lunch, he directed me and we ended up at Sugar House BBQ. We went to Wal-Mart and he helped me pick out some lego's for my Nephew. We came back and I asked him if he wanted to open his present or wait til Christmas. He said "Bring it on." I bought him some movies. He was telling me the other day that's what he wanted. I'm glad he didn't have any of them already. He had me put in Big Jake before I left. 

It was fun to see Michael today. It's the first time I've heard his voice with a cold. He had a deep voice today. He showed me the present that Highland Cove gave him and the card that he got. He gave me a card today too. I asked him if he wanted to wait until closer to Christmas to give it to me, but he wanted me to have it today. It was a nice card :) Thanks Michael! We did his exercises, and he had a hard time with them today. I can tell he hasn't done them in a while. We went up to lunch after and then went to the store to get Jerry a Christmas card. We stopped at the thrift store too. I helped him start a movie before I left.

Michael wanted to show me something today. We walked outside across to the other building. He was showing me an apartment that had just been cleaned. He was interested in moving into that place. Jerry had mentioned that it is an independent apartment and it had been rented out already. I explained that to Michael and asked him to keep an eye out for one on the outside of his building. I know he would like a larger place. Or maybe just something different ;) I think he was OK with that. We did his exercises, worked on word matching and read some words, and then we went up to lunch and then went to Walgreen's. When we got back we looked in the drawer and made Joyce a Birthday card with the things we already had. She will be 100 on the 12 of December! I mentioned again that I would be out of town for a week. I'll see Michael when I get back on the 19th :)

I tried to call a couple of times yesterday to let Michael know that I would be late today. I had a dentist appointment and I showed up while he was eating lunch. I ate a little bit with him too and then Michael wanted to go someplace today but I didn't know where. He just said "I'll show you" We ended up at Backyard birds. We went to TG Maxx and Home Goods too, just to look around. I figured walking around was good enough exercise today, but I told him we would have to do all of them on Friday, he said OK. It sounds like he wants to go shopping again on Friday.

We decorated Micheal's Christmas tree today. He had some other things on his mind today
but I think he still had fun decorating his tree and his room. We worked on his exercises and went to the store for more drinks and then we went to D.I. and Michael bought a wolf movie. I talked to him about me not being here for a week. 

Today at Highland Cove they had a Thanksgiving luncheon. The dining room was packed! We went upstairs with Michael's friend Joyce. We were the only ones upstairs. Michael was showing me the pool table and after we were done eating, we played a game off pool. He wanted to go to the store, we picked up a few things and then he was telling me to go up the street. We ended up at Thrift on 33rd. He bought a couple snowmen for decorations for his room. Hes excited about decorating for Christmas.

Michael was saying that he wanted to show me something. We went down to his room and he showed me the Christmas wreath that Jerry brought over. I mentioned putting it on his front door but he said "Not yet". So, we will wait until he is ready to put it up. He said "Let's go". We had lunch first upstairs and then went to D.I. He bought a funny movie, some new ornaments for his Christmas tree and a mug. On the way back, I was asking him about the Home Again store, we went in and looked around. We came back and did his exercises. (On the way to D.I. he saw an Expedition and said that word! It's a long syllable word. Maybe it was from memory.)

Michael was upstairs waiting for me. We worked on something we haven't for a long time! He used to do facial, tongue, following directions and making sounds with his PT. I had him choose 2 things that he wanted to do today. That was one of the things he chose. He was saying "This is hard". He did a good job though. We worked on picture and word matching too. He was showing me the time, so we went up to lunch and then over to Walgreen's to get him some more root beer :) He wanted to go to D.I. afterwards and he was showing me the way. He bought a movie that I put in for him before I left.

Michael has been upstairs lately when I come over. I'm glad that he's getting out and going upstairs earlier. He asked me if I was ready to eat, so we went to lunch and then he was showing me that he was almost out of bird food already! I told him we could hold off on it until Tuesday. I wasn't sure how long the bird's would be around. It's getting cold. We worked on his exercises and he did a good job with those and with counting. We worked on some of his mono-syllabic, by-syllabic and tri-syllabic words before I left.

Michael was talking really well today and using good sentence structure. He was telling me about a coat that he bought with Jerry. We walked over to go pick it up from the alterations place but it wasn't ready yet. (He's getting his name patch put on his new coat). He was excited to get it. We came back and exercised, worked on words and numbers and the difference between the two. We went up and had lunch then went to pick up his new nice jacket :) I was mentioning to him to stay on the sidewalk when he was waiting for the light. "Yes ma'am, yes ma'am" it was funny. (I helped to clean out and organize his closet when we got back. We will find a place for his summer shirts on Friday).

Today was a short day. I told Michael we could go somewhere on Tuesday. We had lunch upstairs after we did his exercises. We even did squats in the elevator and lunges down part of the hall way. It was a nice day today. When we went downstairs, I had him practice some of this monosyllabic words. He had a little hard time with those. I think he needs to practice reading a little more.

Jerry called and Michael is missing a lens from his glasses. We looked all over and asked lost and found but we couldn't find it anywhere. Michael went to a movie with Jerry yesterday, maybe it's with him someplace. We did his exercises, he was having a hard time counting. He was a little quite today too. We made a list for Walgreen's and picked up a few things then had lunch afterwards. Hope his lens turns up.
(Michael gave me a little angel today. I told him I would keep it in my pocket so I could always have an angel with me ;)

It was a short day today. I had Michael change into his ghost t-shirt since it is Halloween today! We had lunch and then went for a walk around the building and looked at the Halloween decorations.

Michael was upstairs when I came over. We went down and did his exercises. We worked on words, phrases and sentences. He had a really hard time with those today.

Michael was already up in the dining room when I got to his place. We moved to another table so that I could eat with him too. He told me that he went fishing yesterday but that he didn't catch anything. He said he still had a good time. Our pumpkins were getting kind of  'soft' and his face was caved in a little bit so we made a face on the other side. He liked the way that it looked. We put them out of the sun to make them last a little longer. There was a last minute drive to the downtown area. We worked on his exercises after he did his pumpkin and then he walked me upstairs and he went for a drive. :)

Today was pumpkin carving day! Michael was quiet and seemed to have a hard time focusing. I got out the stuff to carve the pumpkins and noticed he had already made a face on his pumpkin :) We carved and cleaned out our pumpkins. I asked him if he liked cleaning them out and he said "Not really." He was looking forward to it earlier. I felt kinda bad that he didn't like it like I thought he would. We didn't get to clean them up but we'll finish that on Friday. We went up to lunch afterwards. He mentioned that he was going fishing with Jerry tomorrow. 

By the time I got to Michael's, he was up in the dining room having lunch. When he saw me, he took his plate to a table we usually eat at. I ate with him and then we went down and did his exercises. He did such a good job today! He was saying that he was out of bird food. We went to Walmart to pick up some more. We found a couple pumpkins too. he was glad to get those :) We'll carve them on Tuesday. 

Today was a nice day outside. Michael wanted to wait and do exercises later. He was showing me he was out of coffee filters. We cleaned his coffee pot really good. He showed me the pumpkin light that Jerry brought over. It looks really cute. :) We went to Walgreen's
and picked up some coffee filters and he said he wanted to go 'somewhere new' for lunch. We drove up to Shivers. He was in the mood for a hamburger. They had it decorated cute for Halloween. We went to a garden shop on 33rd after, we saw it on the way to Shivers. We stopped there and looked around at the pumpkins and the decorations. We went back to his place and did his exercises.

Michael was waiting upstairs for me today. We went into lunch and then he wanted to show me something that he made afterwards. We went downstairs and he had an activity yesterday making holiday cards. He made one for himself that he has on his wall. It has a witch on it. He made one for me with a ghost on it and he made one for Jerry too! How nice. He was saying that he needed to go and get some more coffee. We worked on his exercises first and then put his pumpkin that he bought the other day on the front of his door. We went to Walgreen's and got some coffee and looked around a little bit. 

Michael was upstairs listening to a choir sing. We sat and listened to them and then he said he wanted to show me something. We went down to his room and he showed me his 'cane holder'. He painted the top part of it blue! I thought that was so cool that he did that. When I asked him why, he said "Cause there was nothen better to do". I love that he likes to make things and likes to be creative. We did his exercises and then he showed me the card that says D.I. on it. We had lunch upstairs first then went to D.I. and he picked up a couple more Halloween decorations :) We went to Walgreen's and picked up some drinks for him. (I brought some small plastic pumpkins over and when I was leaving he was putting them up on his cork board).

When I came over, Michael was already in the lunch room. He had just started eating. He picked up his plate and took it to the table that we usually sit at. When we were both done with lunch, he said he had something to show me. We went down to his room and he showed me what he made yesterday! It's a cool Halloween wreath! Jerry stopped by for a short visit too. It was good to see him. We decorated his room with some things he made last year. He kept talking about making pumpkins. I told him we would make them when the time get's closer. Otherwise, if we make them too soon, they won't last til Halloween. We looked for something to make and I brought some paints. We will have to go out and get some new things to make. He did his exercises and did a good job! He worked on matching words to pictures and then 'fill in the blank'. He did pretty good! There was a pianist coming to play, I had Michael walk me upstairs so he could go listen to the piano.

Michael was sitting upstairs again when I got to his place today. He was telling me that he went fishing yesterday with Jerry. I mentioned that it rained and asked if he got rained on. He told me he got really wet but that he had fun. He was having a hard time concentrating today doing his exercises. After he was done with his exercises he got out his flashcards and showed me where he wanted to go. He wanted to go to D.I. We were on our way there but he wanted to go to the one next door on State Street first. We went to D.I. afterwards and then had lunch at Millie's. It was starting to get dark at lunch time.

Michael was sitting upstairs today when I came over. He wanted to take me downstairs. We ended up doing some exercises after he was telling me what he wanted to get at the store. He did really well with his exercises and counting today! We got through the exercises pretty quickly. We had some lunch upstairs first before we left and he was telling me what Jerry had said to him and what he had said back. He was using really good sentence structure! We went to Walgreen's and picked up some things that he needed. (Michael also mentioned at lunch that we need to make something. He was looking at the pumpkins they had at the lunch tables and he said “We can make that”). 

Michael took a while to get exercises and words done today. He had a hard time counting and when we did his words, he was having a hard time with the letters. I was trying to get him to say the sounds of letters. I had him read words and put them into sentences. He was saying the sentence the right way but he couldn't put the words together the right way. We had lunch upstairs and came back down and looked at his calendar to see what he wanted to do for the rest of the week. We talked about fall and projects we can do. We'll have to go out next week for sure. Friday's are short days.

We had Lunch upstairs then came back down and worked on exercises and word's. He did pretty good for not doing them for a week! We went for a walk outside and someone told him hi. It seems like everyone has their own name for him. Mick, Mickey, Mike Michael. I asked him which one he liked, he said "None of em, I just want to shoot em all". Haha. When we were at lunch, Joyce, one of the lady's that live at Highland Cove said "Who is that friend of his? She has the nicest smile. She reminds me off an Italian designer in those Italian fashion magazines" and...."she's so thin"...She is so funny and loud. It made my day though.

I asked Michael how his trip was to Yellowstone, he told me how cold it was and that he needed extra blankets. He asked me to sit down and got out a bag with a Yellowstone pen and a warm furry hat. He had me put the hat on then showed me the one that he got too. He said Jerry has one too. That was so sweet of him to think about me on his vacation. We ended up going to Walgreen's and picking up a few things he needed and then went to Wal-Mart for more bird food. They sure seemed to go through that fast. I did see a lot of birds on the the bird feeder when I was there. There was no place for all of the birds to sit, one was even sitting on top of the bird feeder. We stopped at the thrift store on the way back from Walmart and then went to McDonald's and took lunch to the park to eat; since it was such a nice day. We didn't have time for exercises today but he did get a lot of other things done :)

When I got to Michael's we talked for a bit and he showed me the calendar and told me he was going to go to Yellow Stone :) We went up to lunch and he was saying he had never been there before (To Yellowstone) He will have a good time! He was tired today. I'm not sure when he usually gets up but he said he got up at 5 and out of bed at 6. He had some coffee at lunch and told me he went to the Dr's yesterday with Jerry. His knee is still bothering him :/ hopefully it gets better before he goes. We did some exercises and he was doing good at counting. I had him do some reading too. Today was the day when I told Michael we could go to D.I. I told him we had to do his exercises first and then we could go. We did both sets of exercises and then I had him tell me where we were going. We went to D.I. but didn't stay as long as I thought we would. We went to lunch at McDonald's after. When I asked him where he wanted to go to lunch, he couldn't tell me the name but said it was 'right down the street'. He did a good job of telling me what lane I needed to be in though ;) that was helpful. After lunch we went to Walgreen's, he wanted to pick up more drinks to 'switch it up'. I'm glad I was able to spend a 'normal' amount of time with him today.

I came a little later today. We went downstairs and did both sets of exercises today! Wahoo... we worked on words and matching them to pictures. We haven't doe that for a while. I mentioned that we were going to go to D.I. on Tuesday and even put in on his calendar. I told him we could do whatever he wanted on that day. :)

Michael was out of some things, so we went over to Walgreen's and picked up what he needed (He even found a good deal) and then he walked me to my car and went to lunch. His knee was bothering him; we went up to the nurse and she gave him some ibuprofen and he will get more daily to help with the swelling.

We went to Walmart to get some more bird seed. We were there for a little longer than I thought we would be. We got stuck behind a big cart at the register. When we got back to his place, I helped Michael fill up his buckets and then we went outside and filled up the bird feeder and even put some bird seed in his bird house. He says that the birds don't go to the bird house in the tree :(

We finished filling out the calendar through Friday. We hurried to the thrift store on 33rd; Michael was telling me he needed more pants. He tried on a pair and bought those and then we came back and did one set of exercises then went to lunch. Next month we will go to D.I. I know he really wants to go there.

We had to be so fast today. Sorry Michael. We went back to Home Depot and exchanged the 'cane tips' and got the right size. then to Walgreen's for some after shave and coffee filters. We came back and did one set of exercises really quick and then Michael went to lunch. The rest of this month needs be cut back cause I went over last month. I'll be glad when we have more time to go places Michael wants to go. :/

Michael did a good job at telling me what he needed today! We went to Home Depot for a tip for his cane! I had no idea they had them there. He was right :) (Course they were just for furniture, but it works). I noticed he had his bird house hanging in the tree. It looks really cute there :) wet did some exercises real quick; he did a good job and then he went to lunch.

I almost forgot to go over today! My schedule has changed and I just remembered last minute. I tried to call Michael but his phone wasn't working. We went up to lunch first. He was so sweet getting Joyce pushed up
to the table and helping her get set up to eat :) after lunch we went back down and worked on his exercises. He did a really good job today! When I told him that, he gave me a hug and said "You think so?" We also worked on his flashcards before I left and I plugged his phone in to charge. He has a fun afternoon planned at his place.

Michael had a really hard time counting his exercises today. He didn't know the name of the place but wanted to get something. We had lunch first upstairs then he said "Let's go". We went to Walgreen's but couldn't find what he was looking for. He was trying to explain it to me but I didn't know what he was trying to say. He was telling me he needed 'like a basket, bag to put stuff in'. When I asked what he would put in it, he said 'little things and big things'. We went back to his place and he was showing me that he was out of garbage bags! That's it ;) I had him tell me name of the store we were going to and what he needed from there. We stopped at the thrift store on 3300 So. and then I drove him back to his place.

When I came over, I gave Michael his birthday present. 'This is a nice one'. He liked his new blanket and the design. I asked him if there was anything special he wanted to do today; he wasn't sure. I asked him if he wanted to go to a movie. He said "No...let's go" We went to D.I. and he bought a movie. I bought him a birthday lunch at Sugar house BBQ. I was thinking of taking him there anyway and he was telling me where he wanted to go to lunch as we were driving; it just happened to be the same place. Good choice Michael. He wanted to go to Home Depot afterwards, but couldn't tell me what for. He saw a step stool and said he needed another one. I mentioned to him that he already had one; he seemed to be ok with that. We came back and exercised and Jerry stopped by to drop off a birthday card for him.

Michael had some nurses come this morning. We did his exercises; it was a nice day outside so we took his papers with us and sat on a bench and did some reading. It got a little windy so we finished inside. Michael got a new charger for his phone today!

We did Michael's exercises and then went to the goodwill place that we went to on Friday to get the charger. When we got there it was gone :( I put it in a place where I didn't think anyone would get it. Oh well, I called Jerry and he will get him a new one. We went back to his place and had lunch and then looked in his holiday drawer for some ideas of things he can make.
(He got some rocks and put those around his birdhouse to keep it in place. Good idea!)

Michael had to bring his birdhouse back inside cause it kept blowing over. We'll think of another way to put it outside since we can't hang it. He was telling me that he didn't have any more socks. I checked and he only has about 4-5 pairs. We went to Walmart and found some for him. On the way back he noticed a new goodwill place. We stopped in there and we found a charger for his phone! We will come back and get it. We came back to his place and had lunch.

I had a little extra time to spend with Michael since I didn't go over on the 4th. I asked him how his 4th of July was and he told me he watched fireworks outside :) He showed me his birdhouse in his room. I guess it blew off from the bushes that we had it in. We did his exercises and then he said "Let's go". We had lunch first upstairs and when I asked him where he wanted to go, and he told me "Down the street". We ended up going to D.I. and looking around. He bought a skeleton mug and got my item too! Thanks Michael. :) We went to Walgreen's but didn't get anything. I think he wanted to get me more iced coffee but I told him I was fine and didn't need any. He wanted to go to the other thrift store up on 3300 So. After that we came back. We went outside with his birdhouse and set it on the ground by his window and the bird feeder. We'll see how that works. I let the front desk know about his input for his video.

I brought over paints and paint brushes for Michael so he can paint his birdhouse. I brought different colors and he said he wanted red and blue. I asked him if he was going to make a 4th of July birdhouse, he said he was. 
He was all smiles as he was doing it. He ended up choosing

a couple more colors to paint it. We let it dry and went up to lunch, he was telling me that the girl up at the front desk wanted to see it. He was in a hurry to get back to his room. He picked up his birdhouse and took it right to the front desk and then he took it to the dining room and showed some people his birdhouse too. He is so proud of it! I love it! We went outside by his window and put it in the bush. That way he can see it and watch the birds. (When he was done with it, he said a couple of times "That looks alright, don't it?") I'm glad he liked this activity :)

When I came over, Michael was showing me his flowers. They died :( Maybe we put too much seeds in one pot? We'll have to get some flowers that are already grown. He had is dresser area all set up with his birdhouse on newspaper and a chair. He was already to start his project. It was cute but I had to explain that we are going to do it on Tuesday when we have a little more time. I like that he is excited about it! We worked on his exercises and a few words and then he went up to lunch.

Michael showed me his flowers today. They didn't make it :/ we'll have to go out and get some that are already grown and put those in his flower pots. We did one set of exercises and read a few words, he was telling me in his own way that he needed to get more bird seed. He decided he wanted to to out to eat too. We went to 'the place on the corner' Burger King, had lunch and then went to Walmart to get some bird food. I showed him how much less it is there than at Backyard Birds. He said he would tell Jerry about that place (Walmart.) We went to Michael's craft store and got an unfinished wooden bird house for him to paint. We will do that on Tuesday. We saw Cody at Michael's. He works at Highland Cove. He wanted to go to Walgreen's too on the way back but I told him we could do that on Friday.

We just had time to do exercises today. We were going to go and get some shaving creme but Jerry got that already. Thanks Jerry! I left out some papers that I asked Michael to practice. He said he would. They were the fill in the blanks and reading words, phrases and sentences.

Michael was telling me today that he needed a bigger bird feeder. The one he has now is too small and the birds really eat up the food fast. After his exercises (He had a really hard time counting today) we went to Backyard Birds and bought a bigger bird feeder and some bird food. It was really raining today!

We missed the flag ceremony but had lunch on the patio for father's day. It was a a nice lunch. I

Tuesday June 10th

After we finished up exercises we had lunch upstairs then went to Dollar Tree and the thrift store next door. He liked that one. It's pretty big. He sometimes says things that make me laugh. I forgot what it was but we both laughed about it. We want to get him a birdhouse but one that is wooden that he can either paint or decorate how he wants to. 

The week of June 3rd and June 6th I'm not sure what we did but we did end up going out on Tuesday  

Michael showed me that he got some birdseed for the birds :) Now I know the place he was talking about. Thanks Jerry ;) The seeds that we planted on Tuesday are already starting to come up! We worked on his exercises and he even did the first set all the way to 10! We worked on word, phrases and sentences and fill in the blank's. He needs to work on those some more so I left the paters out for him to look at. He told me he would practice them. We took the long way around the building to my car and then he went to lunch.

When we were done with exercises, Michael chose to do his word/picture matching. I gave him a choice out of three different things to do. I had him tell me what each item was used for. He was showing me that he was out of bird food. He couldn't remember the name of the store where he got it before but I mentioned going to Walgreen's cause it was close and see if they had any. They didn't have any so we bought some seeds and went back and planted the seeds in two of his pots. It will be fun to watch them grow. We will probably get a full grown plant or flowers and put it in his other pot. We took the long way to my car, it was a nice day. 

Today at Highland Cove, they were having a Memorial Day luncheon outside. It was nice and overcast to keep it cool. We did one set of Michael's exercises and then worked out with his weights. He was telling me that he was going to go fishing with Jerry. He was showing me something in his fridge, I thought it was going to be food but it was a carton of worms! I wasn't expecting that... It's supposed to rain so they will try to go fishing on Monday. 

I came over a little later today. Michael was sitting upstairs in the foyer. He took me downstairs to show me the note about his fridge. I turned it back on for him. It was defrosting. We talked about birdhouses and decided to go and look at Dollar Tree and then go to Walgreen's and out to lunch. Dollar Tree didn't have any birdhouses. (I want to get a plain wooden one that he can paint himself). We walked over to Big Lots but they didn't have any either. We went and picked up the things on his list at Walgreen's. He was really good at just going in the store and getting just what he needed without wanting to get other things too. We went to Burger King afterwards. He looked at his watch and was telling me we would be back 'just in time'. I wasn't sure what he was talking about but when we got back, he showed me the 'walk for a cause' at the front desk that they have been doing. I mentioned earlier that we needed to do his exercises, he just said 'no'. Now I know why. I guess he is a good walker and likes to go on the walks. I thought it was pretty cool that he wanted to get back for that. :)

Today after Michael's exercises, I had him make a list of a couple things that he needed at the store. We went to Walgreen's, but they were closed due to the power outage. I pole had fallen around 45th So. and power was out all over, even at Michael's. We were going to go and look for a birdhouse but the places we went today were all closed. We will go and do that on Tuesday. 

Today we had a nice long day. Michael was telling me about a new place. He didn't know the name, but knew where it was. We did his exercises first and then he showed me the 'new place'. It's called The Denim Connection. We looked around in there and he asked me if I liked it and said they have a lot of stuff in there. We drove to the Sugar house thrift shop and looked around in there. He picked up a movie there. D.I. was next but we just looked around. We went to eat at Millie's then went back to his place and started his new movie.

Michael had another Dr. Apt. Today so I didn't go over but will spend more time with him on Tuesday.

I told Michael last week we could go to D.I. He wanted to go last week but he had appointment's and I didn't have time on Friday. We worked on his exercises first, he did the same thing when I asked him about his numbers. I asked what happened to them and he said "Over there". We went to D.I. and he couldn't find anything. We went to lunch at Millie's afterwards and then I drove him back and started a movie for him.

We just worked on exercises today. The last few times, Michael has skipped some numbers while counting to ten. When I asked him what happened to the other numbers he says "They flew away that way". It's kinda funny :)

I didn't have a lot of time to spend with Michael today. He was saying that he wanted to go to D.I. I wrote it on the calendar that we would go next Tuesday. While I was writing it on the calendar, he was telling me he wanted 'a new one'. He said he wanted a calendar with 'girls' on it. It made me laugh. I'll have to find him a 50's pin up girl calendar ;) We worked on his exercises and flash card sentences. He did really good at putting the words in the right order. 

When we were doing Michael's exercises today, we got to one of the exercises and it has a guy showing the exercise. He said "There's your buddy" It was funny. We did exercises, then we went to Walgreens to get him some more shaving creme. We got back to his place, put everything away and then I had lunch with him upstairs. We walked around the building and he walked me to my car.

Michael's neighbor got kind of mad at him today. When I got there, he had the door open and his TV on. I shut the door and explained that it might bother some people, and asked him to keep his door shut while the TV is on. He made us coffee and we practiced his fill in the blank and phrase paper. It was his choice. He said "Thank you" when we were done with the paper, it was nice :) We did a few exercises and then we went upstairs. Michael walked me to the door and then went to lunch.
He showed me he was out of shaving creme. I told him we could go out on Tuesday and get that and then maybe pick up something to eat and take it to the park.

It's a really nice day today. When we did Michael's exercises, I didn't make him count unless he wanted to. I thought I'd give him a break. ;) I had him do his fill in the blank and phrase paper. He did a really good job at concentrating and thinking of the right words that would fit. We went up to lunch and afterwards, we walked outside; sat on the bench for a bit and looked at some of the flowers that are coming up. He walked me to my car, I mentioned he should go for a walk and said he was going to go and take a nap. At lunch I mentioned that we should make something for Easter. He said "Ya, OK!" 

Michael showed me the glasses he got the other day. Web both tried them on.I took a picture of him with them on and he took a picture of me. He said he would take them back. We did his exercises then went up to lunch. After lunch we went back downstairs and he chose to work on matching words to pictures. Michael walked me to the door when I had to leave.

When I looked up, Michael had this on. He's so funny :)

When I came in, Michael told me I looked pretty today! So sweet :) He made us some coffee and he showed me a bunch of stuff he has ‘collected’. We filled in the first week of April on his calendar. I let him choose what he wanted to work on and he chose his fill in the blank paper. He did a really good job on it too. We did his exercises and then he went to lunch after walking me to the door of course ;) (He said we could go to lunch and I told him I had to go and he said “We’ll see about that”. It was cute)

It was such a nice day today! A little windy but nice. We did Michael's exercises (He had a hard time concentrating and counting) and then he said he needed to go to Walgreen's and showed me he was almost out of coffee and razors. On the way to the store he said "Go this way" when I asked why, he said "Just for the hell of it" :) He showed me where he goes for walks. We went to the store, got what he needed and looked around a little bit too. We came back and I had lunch with him and then I had to go. I mentioned that he should go for a walk. He said he probably would ;)

Michael had his hair cut and it looks really nice :) He did his exercises and even saying "No that's not right" or "Lets start over" when he was counting. He did a really good job at focusing today and knowing when he needed to start over. I had him read some of his monosyllic, bisyllic, and tricyclic words. He did pretty good at that too. He went up to lunch after walking me to the door.

Michael was trying to tell me what he wanted to make or buy. I couldn't figure it out. He poured me a cup of coffee and we talked about it and finally figured it out! Yay :) He wanted to go and buy some more garbage bags. The ones he has now, are too big. We went to Walgreens and found some. I was telling him they would be the same size. We got back, and they were actually shorter than the other ones. "Ya that's it, see?" I'm glad I figured it out, I know how stressed he can get when he is trying to tell you something and can't get it out. We went up to lunch and exercised with his weights afterwards.

Since Friday's are short days. We just worked on Michael's exercises and visited. He asked me if I wanted to go up to lunch with him. I told him I could on Tuesday instead. 

I brought my Kindle Fire in today. I have a money app and we worked on counting money. (Michael had made coffee and made me a cup) :) After we were done counting money, we did his exercises and then he showed me his card for D.I. We went there and he bought a western movie. It even has John Wayne in it. We went to lunch at McDonald's and then we came back to his place and I helped him with his new movie. The video input is having problems though so he wasn't able to watch it today.

Today when I came over, Michael showed me the movie that he got when we went to D.I. He was telling me that he had it already, and showed me too. He said I could have it but I told him he could give it to someone that would like it better. We had coffee, did his exercises and the fill in the blank work sheet and then we went to Walgreen's for a couple things. He wanted to go out more but I told him I had to go and that I could spend more time with him on Tuesday. He said "OK".

I waited too long to post so I don't remember exactly what we did on these two days. I know we did his exercises like we normally do though. I'm pretty sure we highlighted some activities to do on his calendar for March on one of these days too.

I was thinking about a picnic at the park today since it's such a nice day for February! We worked on exercise's and then Michael showed me his card for D.I. I had him read it to me. We went to D.I. and Michael got 3 new movies and then I gave him the option to eat inside someplace or outside at the park. He chose outside. We wet to Sugar house park, had lunch and people watched. It was a nice day :) I took a picture but it was too sunny and didn't turn out :/

Just as I came over, Michael was getting ready to go upstairs for an activity. I went up with him and he made a Valentine's Day chocolate sucker. We went back and worked on his exercises. I was so impressed today! He counted all the way from 1-10 each time! Nice job :) Maybe we need to do an activity first before we do exercises. Hmmm. I had him read some sentences and then we went up to a Valentine's Day lunch. Steak and Lobster and cheesecake for dessert! Yumm :) They had it decorated for Valentine's Day with roses at each table. It looked nice.

Michael had a Valentines activity either yesterday or earlier this week. When I came over, he gave me the Valentine's card he made me. It was so sweet! :) I think we just worked on exercises, words and visited. 

It took Michael a long time to finish his exercises. He seems like he's getting worse at counting and doing his exercises together, I really have to tell him to pay attention. When we were done with those he wanted to go, but I told him we needed to work on a few more things first. I had him read some words and then we played a matching game and a money counting game. He showed me he was out of razors and needed some more.  As we were leaving his place he stopped and said, "Gollly what happened out here?" It was funny. (It had been snowing). We went to Walgreen's and then he wanted to go to Crown Burger for lunch.

Today I found Michael upstairs. He was eating some fruit; they made a glaze to go over the top. I had some with him and then he said "Come on". We went down and worked on his exercises and his calendar for February. 

Michael made us coffee and then we worked on his flash cards and his words and putting sentences together. We did exercises afterwards and then we went upstairs to have lunch. We met Lori, she's a new resident. She sat with us at lunch. 

We started out with exercises first and then we went to Walgreen's to get more coffee. He picked out a good one! He got a really good deal. He asked where we were going after, I mentioned going to the thrift store on 33rd So. He said Ok. We looked around a bit then I drove him back so he could have lunch.

Today after we did exercises we worked on some words. I had Michael go and get his sentence paper that he gave away. Jane was holding it for us ;) I told him on Friday if he still wanted to go to D.I. that we would go today. He said he wanted go and I told him we were just going to look today. I lost him for a few minutes and he found a movie. It was only $1.00. He wanted to stop and get coffee but I told him we could get it on Friday and that he would have enough. I helped him put his new movie in and then he walked me upstairs and went to lunch.

Michael gave me a hug when I came in. He had me sit down and handed me a box! It was from Backyard Birds. He bought me a pair of earrings! So nice, thank you Michael! He kept asking if I liked them, I kept telling him I did ;) I wore them and he nodded his head that he liked them.
 He was showing me that he was out of razors. We did his exercises first and then went to the store. We went for a little drive afterwards and he saw 'Toys'. We went to the Red Balloon Toy Store. (He was showing me his truck earlier and wants to get a trailer to go behind it. I told him we could go and look but not buy anything today). They didn't have what he was looking for. We noticed a thrift store called Thrift on 33rd. He wanted to go there. He said he might like to go back there another time too. We went to a lot of places in a short time today.

Michael did his exercises and did a really good job! We did some word matching and then went to the store. When we got back he went up to lunch. He saw a billboard and said "Boat Show". He said he wanted to go. It's sometime in early February.

Michael was showing me the snow outside and asking me when they were going to clean it up ;) I told him it would melt. We started off by doing his exercises. He was having a hard time concentrating and counting today. After Michael's exercises we practiced reading words and then went downstairs, they were having an art activity; making cherry blossom trees out of pink crate paper. He made his tree and then we went to lunch. He picked up his picture after lunch and walked me to the door. I'll add in the pictures I took of him and his cherry blossom tree.

 Today we worked on matching games, counting money and exercises. He can count better when there are no distractions or things he can read. I had him do some fill in the blanks and then we went up to lunch. I have been working on getting him to tell the girls what he wants to eat for lunch. We went to the front desk to ask about a haircut and they said the person would be in on Thursday. He walked me to the door and I told him I would be back on Friday.

Today we took down the Christmas decorations and put them away until next year. I downloaded more games on my kindle fire for Michael. We worked on counting money, matching cards and then we did his exercises and then went up to lunch. We came back down and played some more memory games and he was going to go to Park City today at 2:00. Hopefully he went and got to get out of the fog. I mentioned to him that I will be coming Tuesday's and Friday's starting next week. His January calendar finally came and we highlighted some things for him to do for the next week.
