Michael had a good Christmas. He got some new shirts, new pants, new hat. He was excited to show me. We went to Walgreen's after making a list of some things that he needed. He also wanted to go to the toy store up the street and see if we can find a trailer for the truck that he has. They didn't have one. We went to Yanni's for lunch. He said "This is the place" when we were trying to find the place he was looking for. I helped him in with his bags before I left. He didn't want to start a movie. I mentioned that I wouldn't be over on Friday.

Today Me and Michael did our gift exchange. He was SO nice! He got me a pair of nice earrings and a nice card with a gift inside too. Thank you Michael! He's so sweet and thoughtful. I got him what he asked for. Socks and movies. It was a snowy day. We went to Grand America and looked at the Christmas windows and the life size gingerbread house. Little America had some nice decorations too. We went to Shanghai for lunch afterwards. Michael said that he liked it and then afterwards said he didn't. It was a nice long day.

I was really late today, I almost called to cancel. I was stuck in my driveway cause of all the snow! I was finally able to dig myself out. We ended up not doing too much today or getting out. I told Michael that we would go out on Friday. We did a few exercises, went for a walk and visited. I sewed a button on one of his shirts for him. We went upstairs to eat lunch. I helped him to start a video afterwards and watched some of it with him. He showed me the box from Backyard Birds today. I think he's excited to have me open it. Next week ;)

When I came in today, Michael said he had something for me and that if I didn't like it he would have it. He showed me the box from Backyard Birds. He's so sweet to go there just to pick something up for me. I told him I would wait closer to Christmas to open it. I told him I hadn't got him anything yet and we could open presents together. We exercised, (Michael had a hard time focusing) and then we worked on sentence structure with flash cards. We went through all of the cards naming what they were too. We went upstairs and had lunch and then went to Walgreen's to pick up a couple of things for him.

Michael needed some bird seed for his bird feeder. We did a few exercises first and then headed out. After we went to Walmart, we stopped at Goodwill and looked around. I found some awesome ottomans! We went to Walgreen's to pick up a couple things but needed to go back. Michael had a shower and had lunch brought to his room. We'll pick up what he needed on Friday. 

I haven't had internet for a while. I'll post what I can remember and pick it up from here. I'll also add pics when I can find them.

Friday's are shorter days. We worked on exercises and word matching and then went up to lunch. He didn't want me to start a movie for him before I left, he said he wanted to take a nap.

We decorated for Christmas today. We couldn't find Michael's ornaments but once we did we decorated the tree and set up Michael's room. We went to D.I. and then out to lunch afterwards.

I think we worked on exercises and words today and then just had lunch upstairs. Joyce, one of the cute little ladies that lives at Highland Cove died. She was 100 years old, she will be missed. 

Michael gave me a cookie today that he had been saving for me, that was sweet. He had a really hard time with exercises today and focusing. I think I'm going to go back to doing exercises on Tuesday's and Friday's. It would be good if he could have more days doing exercises and practicing his words. It really seemed to wear him out today. He was having trouble with words too. After we were done with exercises and practicing words, we went upstairs to lunch. He was really quiet and tired. I hope he has a good weekend.

Michael asked me to sit down and he gave me an umbrella today. (He made sure I had it before I left). We went to D.I. today. Michael's legs got sore from walking around. We stopped at Good will for just a little bit and then went to lunch at Wendy's. His finger looks better from last week too.

Today I sewed Michael's button on his new shirt. He was really appreciative. He even got me a coffee out off the fridge 😉 He wanted to go to D.I. After we cleaned up and he changed, we looked around D.I. for a while and then went to lunch. He's been doing really good at expressing himself; using right words together.

We cleaned up today and put the Halloween decorations away, we found an empty box and put all of his decorations in the box. We straightened up his room and then we headed out to Dollar Tree for a small sewing kit. (He was showing me a button that came off of a new shirt). He wanted to go to D.I. we looked around and when we were leaving he noticed Domino's across the street we walked over there to get a pizza but they only had large pizzas, we went to Pizza Hut and ordered the single pan pizzas and took lunch over to my house and then came back to Michael's. It was a good day.

I wasn't feeling very well today. I only stayed for an hour. We did exercises and then I walked Michael up to lunch. I told him we would go out on Friday.
He told me he had something for me. He gave me a purse/file/organizer and a small clock. He's so nice. It will be put to good use. :)

Today when I first got to Michael's, we went to the store to get pumpkins to carve. We went to Walmart and then came back and decided on faces for both of them. We had his lunch sent down to his room. We were right in the middle of doing out pumpkins. It took a while but we finally got them done ;) 

Michael was upstairs waiting for me. I was surprised he wasn't wearing his new shirt and mentioned it. We went down and he changed. It's a nice shirt but he's not sure if he likes it. "Maybe tomorrow" he'll know if he likes it. We did exercises today and practiced words, phrases and sentences. He did pretty good. We went up to lunch and I helped him start a movie before I left. We're planning on doing pumpkins on Tuesday. He wants to get a big one.

Michael had a Dr's. Apt this morning. We went and picked up some more Sprite. He's really doing a good job with his drinks. We went to D.I. where he went back in and bought a green shirt that he had found. We went to Sugarhouse BBQ afterwards. I helped him with a DVD before I left.

We decorated Michael's room for Halloween. I forgot some of what he had! It looks good. We went to pick up a few things at the store then went to Wendy's drive thru and took lunch over to the park. It's a beautiful day.

I'm going to start up with exercises on Tuesday again too. Michael is having too hard of a time only doing them once a week. It's really hard for him to stay focused and he gets tired a lot easier. Today we went to the cook group. I don't think we will anymore, he doesn't seem to like it like he used to. We did his exercises then went up to lunch. We went to Walgreen's after four some coffee. He didn't want me to start a movie before I left.

Michael's plants are looking good. We'll have to decorate more for Halloween on Friday. We cleaned up and he was saying he wanted to go and get some root beer. We went to Walgreen's and then to D.I. We stopped for lunch and then headed back to his place. I had him change into a long sleeve shirt, it's getting to be cool fall weather.

We started off today at the cook group. Kendra made some apple butter. Michael wasn't to into that. He had a roll with come butter and then he wanted to leave. He wanted to get another plant for his window seal. He wanted to go to Home Depot but I talked him into going to Walmart, I think it will be cheaper there. He picked up some fall looking flowers and then we went to Dollar Tree and he picked up some decorative pumpkins. We walked over to Halloween City and looked around. Michael like to try the different masks. He was having a hard time walking so we went back to his place. I took his things down to his room so that he could eat. We will decorate more on Tuesday. He likes to decorate, we might need a new place to put all of his decorations.  

When I first got to Michael's, he said "I gotta show you somethin". He showed me the pigeons eating out of his birdhouse. They are tall enough and can reach ;) I just hope they don't scare the other little birds away. We got his list that we made on Friday and went to Walgreen's and then to D.I. to look around. We made it back a little late for lunch. He wants to get some small pumpkins for decoration. He saw them in the plants out front. We'll start decorating for fall and Halloween soon. He has his fall wreath on his door. 

Michael did really well with his exercises today. At one point, he was counting then stopped and said "Hey wait a minute." He knew his mistake and started over. He's always so happy when he knows he did a good job. We practiced some word fill in the blanks too. We went up to lunch then down to his room to make a list for Walgreens on Tuesday.

Michael was upstairs in the lobby waiting for me. We cleaned up a little bit then went to Walgreen's to pick up a few things that he needs. We went to Thrift on 33rd. He said "We haven't been here for a while". It's always nice to go someplace different. He found a skull that lights up. He liked it so I bought it for him. Good deal for only $1.00!. When we went downstairs, I was showing him how to turn on the light so that the eyes would glow. He made me laugh. "Oh God damn"! I think he'll have fun with that. It's almost time to start decorating for the Holiday's.

Today Highland Cove had a car show. It was supposed to be yesterday, but it rained. I was glad to be able to see it too. We went outside and walked around looking at all the old cars. They had lunch outside too. It was a fun day looking and talking about the cars. I took a picture of the car that Michael liked the best. We worked on exercises and words before we went to Walgreen's. He had a hard time with them and couldn't really focus. I don't know if it's because he hasn't done them for a while or if he was having an off day.

Michael had a low pulse today, we just went for a walk and didn't do exercises. He was a little short on breath. (Heidi took his BP and told me about it). We went up to the cook group and had apple cider shake's. It was interesting. I asked Michael if he liked it, he had a look on his face like he didn't but he said that he did. We waited upstairs for moment of silence. 

Today we put the bird food in the newly painted bird house cups. We put it by the original bird feeder and will see how it does. Michael said he wanted to go to Walgreen's. We picked up some Root Beer then went to Home Depot and looked at plants. Afterwards, we went back to Highland Cove and had lunch. I started a movie for him before I left.

Yay! The cup stayed glued to the birdhouse this time. We glued on the other cup and will fill it on Tuesday and see if it works. Michael told me that he went fishing with Jerry. He didn't catch anything this time, but he said he had fun. We did his Exercise's today then worked on some word pronunciation and fill in the blanks with appropriate words. Jerry left a message to go and pick up some lotion. We went to Walgreen's and picked some up and then went to lunch at Crown Burger. (After Walgreen's he said 'let's go down the street'. I told him we could only go to the store today and if he wanted to go to D.I. he would have to wait until Tuesday. I think that's where he wanted me to take him. He just looked at me and said 'Smartie Pants' with a grin on his face.) I helped him start a movie before I left.

We had to re-glue the cup back on the birdhouse. We'll see if it works this time. Instead of exercises, we went to Walmart to pick up some bird food and Michael found a pot of flowers that he liked. He got them half off! We went to Good will and looked around. We came back and I re-potted his flowers while he filled his buckets and the bird feeder with the bird food. We cleaned up and I went up to lunch with him. He said that he might go fishing with Jerry tomorrow.

We tried to glue the cups to the bird house but it wasn't sticking very well. We're going to let it dry over the weekend and see if it will work. We went to Walgreen's then back for lunch. Michael wasn't feeling very well, I had him eat some soup. We'll get bird food on Tuesday. I asked him to lay down and rest before I left.

We had plans to finish the birdhouse today. After his exercises and working on 'fill in the phrase', we went to the store and bought some glue to glue the cups onto the birdhouse. Michael said that he needed socks. We ended up going to D.I. to get him some new socks and then McDonald's for lunch. That was all we had time for today. We'll have to work on the birdhouse and go to the store on Friday. 

After exercises we re-painted Michael's birdhouse. He chose to paint it the same colors. It looks brand new now. We went up to eat while the birdhouse dried and then went down to paint little cups to put on the birdhouse for the bird food. The birds don't seem to go inside the bird house, maybe they will go to the bird house if they see the food. We went to the store to let it all dry. We will glue the cups on when I come on Tuesday. 

Today was a weird day. We had plans to go out to a few places today and when we were ready to leave, I noticed I didn't have my keys! I left them on the seat of my car...oops. We had to wait about 45 minutes for someone to show up and let me in my car. We went for a walk while we waited and just visited. When we could get into my car, we went to Walgreen's real quick to pick up some coffee. We'll get the rest of the stuff on Friday. We switched today for a short day for a longer day on Friday. I'll remember my keys next time.

After exercises and lunch we picked up some little medicine cups and small plastic condiment cups to put on Michael's birdhouse. The birds have finally started eating out of the feeder again but none of them go near the birdhouse. We're going to re paint the birdhouse and the cups and glue the cups on the perches. It should look cute. Jane just came and talked to me about how Michael let's her off the elevator first now and how is more responsive to her. That was nice to hear.

 We went to D.I. today. I found a shelf that I wanted to get and when we were at the check out counter, Michael tried to pay for it! I had him put his money away. That was sweet of him though! Michael said he wanted to go to Home Depot afterwards but his exercises and words took too long today. We stopped at Wendy's on the way back to his place. I told him if we had time, we cold go on Friday. 

Today was an overcast and a little rainy day. After exercises and sentence structure, we went upstairs for lunch. Michael wanted to go to Home Depot to get another plant or flowers for his other pot. I told him we could do that on Tuesday. He went down for a nap after lunch.

Today after exercises, Michael was showing me that he was out of some things. We went to Walgreens and picked up what he need and then he wanted to go to lunch at Sugar House BBQ. It was really busy there. We didn't have time to go to D.I. today. Maybe on Friday.
(I was cleaning out his coffee pot, telling him that he needed to clean it more often. "That's what I have you for." Haha ok Michael.

Happy Birthday Michael! 

Michael needed to pick up some bird food, it looks like the birds are starting to eat it again. Yay! We didn't do exercises today, I thought that would be a nice break for today. I told him I would take him to pick something out that he wanted for his Birthday and take him to lunch too. He found a straw hat he's been wanting. He said it would make a good  'fishing hat' We went to lunch at Sugar House BBQ Then came back and filled his feeder. I noticed that he had some soil so we re planted his flowers. I hope he has the rest of a Happy Birthday. It was a fun day. He said he might go fishing tomorrow.
 I told him I wouldn't be over on Friday cause I'll be moving.

Happy 24th of July! Michael needed to pick up some drinks, he's doing really good with those. We went to the store after he did his exercises and worked on some words. He talked about going to D.I. today but I told him since it was a holiday they will probably be closed, he said 'noo'. I tried to call them with no answer so we just ended up going to the store to pick up drinks that he needed. After wards, he wanted to go to Crown Burger for lunch He said "That place is pretty good". We came back and I helped him put his drinks away, then helped him start a movie. I watch that with him for a few minutes before I left. 

We didn't get a chance to go out today. Michael had a Dr. Appt at 1:00. We had a hard time getting exercises and words done in time to go out. Jerry came over and he took Michael up to lunch. We will go out on Friday.

Michael said he had something for me today. When we went downstairs, he got out a box with tissue paper and a bracelet on top! He made me a bracelet yesterday. It's with blue, green and white beads. He's so sweet. He was so happy that I liked it. We worked on his exercises and did some word matching and then went up to lunch. I started a movie for him before I left and told him to have a good weekend.

We didn't do exercises today. First time in a long time! I felt Michael needed a break. He was showing me that he was out of some things. We worked on his words and sentences and then we went to the store to pick up what he is out of. He chose to go to Sugarhouse BBQ afterwards. He really likes that place! He said "We go here all the time". After lunch, we came back and I was going to start a movie for Michael but he didn't want one. (When we were at his place, before we left for the store, I was checking to make sure Michael had enough money for the things he needed. He said "I can buy a girlfriend". I thought that was funny.) 

We got through all of Michael's exercises today, even some we haven't done for a while. We did a little bit of reading and fill in the blanks. We visited, talked about his plants... he showed me some new shirts 😊 I hope he will wear them. After lunch he didn't want to start a movie before I left. I asked him to think about where he wants to go on Tuesday.

I had a flyer for Arts in the Park at Murray Park. We did exercises first before we left. I picked up some lunch at the cafe they have there and we sat and listened to music. When we were done with lunch, Michael wanted to go. We stayed a bit longer, enjoyed the weather and listened to music. We stopped at the store on the way back.

Michael did really good with exercises today but his counting carried over to reading words. We took a break and started over. He was having a hard time saying the words that he usually doesn't have a hard time with. We stopped after a while and just went up to lunch. I helped him start a movie before I left. He seemed better by that time.

Michael has had a hard time focusing again today with his exercises and also his word matching. He wasn't as able to say the words he needed to as well as he usually does. It has taken us a little longer to get things done before we can go out. We went to pick up some coffee and went to Burger King after lunch. We came back and I started movie for him before I left.

Michael had a super hard time focusing and following directions today when we did his exercises. We took a break, then did a couple of chair exercises. Michael helped me get his picture in his frame. It fit perfectly. We worked on a couple sentences and then went up for lunch. Jerry is picking Michael up a little later.

Michael wanted to go out to lunch and to D.I. I told him we would get a frame for his picture of the fish. I mentioned that he had to do his exercises first. Afterwards, I had him rest his knee while he worked on some words and sentences. He found a good frame at D.I., I think it will work. We went to lunch at McDonald's. I started a movie before I left and had him put his knee up with some ice on it. It's still bothering him a little. We'll work on getting his picture in the frame on Friday.

Michael got his hair buzzed! He won't need a hair cut for a while! I'm sure it feels a lot better.Today Highland Cove had a Father's day luncheon. We hurried and did exercises and some sentence matching and then went over to the patio. Michael had a hamburger. He was having a hard time standing up from a sitting position. He said his knee was bothering him. We went back down to his room and started a movie. I had him put his leg up with an ice pack on his knee. I let staff know.

It was a shorter day with Michael today. We worked on exercises and word matching. He had a little harder time today. When we were done, I went up to lunch with him. He picked out a movie to watch afterwards. Tonight at 7:00 they are having a cowboy program, that will be fun for him. 😊 He said he tried to call Jerry, he wants to go fishing again.

Today was a good day. After I had Michael change his shirt (I'm trying to get him to wear more shirts than what he does) he combed his hair, and then we worked on his exercises and pronouncing words from his papers. We talked about him getting a hair cut. We had lunch upstairs and then I turned on a movie for him before I left.

We made a list on Friday of some things that we needed at the store. We added one more thing and then went to Walgreen's to pick up what Michael needed. We did his exercises first though ;) (He looked nice today, even wore a newer shirt). After we got done at the store, he knew where he wanted to go to lunch but he couldn't think of the name. He just said "I'll show ya". We went to Sugar House BBQ. He did say Sugar House but he couldn't think of the rest. He had a good lunch. He decided that he wanted to go to D.I. He said he needed more socks. We picked some up for him. I hope they fit!  We drove back to his place and I helped him put things away.

Michael called me this morning! I thought it was Jerry calling to ask me something. I thought it was so cool that he called me to tell me about his fishing trip yesterday. He said he caught 3 big fish. When I got to his place, he showed me the picture of him and then fish. Good job Michael! 

We worked on his exercises, went up to lunch and then made a list for the store on Tuesday.

Michael did really well on his exercises today! He was keeping count with each exercise. We got them done quickly today. We worked on word matching, words, phrases and sentences. We went down to lunch then back to his room to change then went to D.I. (He was trying to find the card, to tell me where he was talking about. He found it) :)

After Michael did his exercises, he wanted to go to D.I. It took us a little longer to get exercises done today, but we made it. The flowers that he bought are really growing fast and looking pretty!

It was an overcast day today. We worked on exercises, words phrases and sentences. We haven't practiced his words for a while, so it was a little harder today than usual. Highland
Cove had an outdoor Memorial Day picnic. We walked over to the picnic, they had a band playing it was nice. I hope Michael has a nice weekend. 

Michael had a harder time today with exercises and using his words correctly. Except for when I asked Him how his weekend was, he said "not good." When I asked him why he said "Cause I couldn't find you." So sweet. We made a list, then went to Walgreen's to pick up some things he's need for awhile. We weren't sure what to do about lunch, we ended up at Robintino's. He seemed to like it. We put his grocery's away when we came back. I Will add pics soon.

 Today we worked on exercises before we went up to lunch. Michael was showing me things he needed. They will have to wait until Tuesday and then we can go out to the store and pick up things that he needs. I hope he has a good weekend.

Michael did really well today! He even was telling me about how he went fishing with Jerry. He was really good at putting his words together. He was showing me that he was out of coffee, we made a list of just two things that he needed and went to Walgreen's to pick them up. We went to Thrift on 33rd and came back so he could make it to lunch. It was a good day. (We did all of his exercises too, he did really good.)

Michael had physical therapy this morning so I didn't worry about his exercises today. When I came over, he was ready to go eat lunch and he decided he wanted to go out. He wanted to go to a new place; we ended up going to Subway, he said that he liked it. (He's been wanting to go there for a while. I'm glad he liked it.) After lunch we went to D.I. He bought a couple movies and I put one in for him to watch before I left.

It was a short day today, I'm not feeling very well. I met Whitney, Michael's physical therapist and she showed me some exercises to incorporate with what we do already. I will probably be coming over later on Fridays so that Jeanne the physical therapist can work with Michael in the morning first thing. He did good with his exercises with Whitney, and with his cane too. We went to the store to pick up some things Michael was out of and then came back, dropped them off and had lunch. I will see him on Friday.

Michael has his wallet back! Now he has both his wallet and I.D. All is good ;) He had a really hard time with exercises and paying attention to what we were doing today. I had him sit down after his exercises and follow directions from pictures I was showing him and things I was asking him to do. He did ok with that. We had lunch upstairs and then went to Walgreen's to pick up some more razors for him. Jerry came to visit him later on that day.

Michael had a hard time today with his exercises and word matching. I think he must have had a lot on his mind. (He was telling me and showing me that he lost his I.D. card that was in his wallet. I'm sure he was worried about that.) We went over to Walgreen's and got him some more shaving creme. I was going to pick up some more Root Beer or Pepsi, but he still had 3 left! 
He's been keeping his table and counter really clean lately when he makes his coffee in the morning. :)

Michael had a harder time with exercises and his words today. We did get distracted with people coming in his room while he was exercising, that could have been a reason. After his exercises and reading, I went with him up to lunch before I had to go. We'll go to the store on Tuesday.

Michael did really good with his exercises again today. We worked on some flashcards and putting words into sentences. He had a choice of 3 words to finish the sentence and he got it right each time! We drove down to D.I. and then went to lunch at Millie's. He was showing me Subway across the street and saying that we needed to go there. Next time ;) He had a really good day.

Michael did really well again with his exercises and counting! We finished those pretty quickly and then worked on pronouncing words. We went to Home Depot and he chose two different flowers to put in his flower pots. We came back and re-potted those and then I walked him up to lunch.

Michael did SO good at his exercises today! Good job! We got done with them pretty quickly. He was able to communicate better today too. We did some word fill in the blank's and then he was showing me that he only had one root beer left. I showed him on the calendar when he could go and get more. We did go to Walgreen's and pick up some more razors. He picked the best deal on the razors. We came back and had lunch. It was really windy!

We went to a couple of places today after we exercised. I noticed some new exercises that PT brought over yesterday? We incorporated some of those into what he does already. He was showing me that he only had 3 Pepsi's left! He still has a week to go until we can go get more. He was alright with that. I was showing him on his calendar how long he had left until we could go and get some more. He was showing me with his flashcards that he wanted to go to the thrift store on 33rd and also to D.I. We went to D.I. first then after the thrift store on 33rd we went to lunch. He was asking 'where to now'. We went back to his place and he put the rest of his hamburger in the fridge for a snack later on. It was a longer day today, for a Friday ;) I didn't get to see him on Tuesday though. 

I got to Michael's a little later than usual. I had a dentist appointment today. I looked upstairs, downstairs and walked around outside. I finally looked and noticed he had a Dr. Appointment too. I'll see him on Friday. I hope everything is ok.

Today Michael was sitting upstairs in the lobby. He wasn't interested in going to the cook group today. We went down to do exercises, he had a hard time counting today. We read one word from each sheet of his word papers. I was impressed that he still had one root beer left, good job! We went to Walgreen's to pick up some Pepsi and then we worked on his calendar. 

Michael showed me the new head board that he bought with Jerry over the weekend, it looks nice. I was really impressed that he still had root beer in his fridge! Good job Michael! :) We did his exercises and then we went to the store to pick up a couple things. Even though he still has 3 root beers left, he didn't mention getting any more. (I had it in my mind that today was Friday and told Michael I had to make it a short day). I sat with him upstairs during lunch before I left.

Michael got a haircut! Yay, he looks good. I was really impressed to see he still had 6 root beers left! We worked on exercises and some of his words. I asked him to tell me what the words meant or how the item was used. After he read his words and did some matching, he wanted to go upstairs for lunch. We finished the calendar and highlighted what he was interested in and then made a grocery list for next time I come over.

I was on my way down to see Michael. He walked out of the elevator as I was going to walk in. He said he wanted to show me something. We walked outside, he said he was wondering about a car, but it turned out that he was wondering about the tree out front. He really likes the white tree and said the blooms smelled good. I didn't know what kind it was. He brought a little bit of it inside and we put it in a cup of water. We worked on his exercises and did a really good job today! We read a few words and then I went up to have lunch with him. (He said he wanted to go upstairs and eat, and then he choose to go to D.I.) I bought a new file box to put his cards in. He's getting more now and needs more space. He's doing good on his Root Beer and has had one a day! 

Happy first day of Spring!

Michael was upstairs waiting for me. He said he wanted to show me something. We went down to his room and he was showing me that he was out of coffee. We did his exercises super fast today and he did a really good job! He was paying attention, following directions and able to use his words better today. I had him make a list of the things that he needed. We went up and had lunch upstairs and then we went to Walgreen's to pick up a few things. We got a 12 pack of Root Beer and I mentioned that it had to last until the end of the month. That would be one a day, with one left over. I wanted to get a 6 pack, but they don't have Root Beer in 6 packs. I had him put up his spring wreath on his door before I left. He didn't want a movie put in. He's going to watch a singing group upstairs.

Michael drank all of his Coke already. I showed him on the calendar that he still has until Friday until he can get more. He was ok with that. He said he needed to go to Walgreen's to get some more shave cream. He got out the Walgreen's card and the shave creme card to show me what he needed. He also got out the D.I. card and said he wanted to go there to after we went to Walgreen's. We did his exercises first and some work matching and then went to the store. We bought the one item and he didn't ask for anything else. On the way to D.I. he pointed to Millie's and said he wanted to eat there. We had lunch at Millie's, he wanted to sit outside. It was a nice day :) He had a Coke but didn't finish it all! I think Friday, we will get the smaller cans for him. I had him wear his new four leaf clover hat today, since it is St. Patrick's Day ;)

I got to Michael's place just in time for the cook group. He was waiting for me upstairs. he made some pudding and then we went down to work on his exercises. He had a hard time following directions, but got it after a while. He changed his clothes and combed his hair. We talked about his Coke (He's doing pretty good). We updated the calendar for the weekend. I read phrases to Michael and had him give me one word endings. I walked him up to lunch before I left.

Even though Michael didn't want to do his exercises today, he did a pretty good job. We worked on his sentences too. He was saying that he was out of Coke and needed to go to the store. I mentioned about his cutting back and told him we could only get 6 this time instead of 12. (Even though the bottles are bigger than the cans, maybe he will get the idea of a smaller amount). Next time, I think we will get the 8 pack, small cans. He even mentioned that he wanted to get those. We picked up some lunch at Crown Burger and then took it over to the park. It was a really nice day and we did some walking over there too. I used one of his calendar's and put when we bought his Coke and the next time we could get it. We'll see how that works. 

Michael was upstairs waiting for me. We haven't gone to a 'cooking' activity for a long time. We hurried really fast and got Michael's exercises done. He did really good, even though we sped through them. We went upstairs and made pudding cups, with pudding, bananas and crushed up cookies. We took it back downstairs and put it in the fridge to set up and then we went upstairs for lunch. He got a new hat today while he was at lunch too :) We went down and worked on the new sentences that I made. I have 3-5 words that make up each sentence and he needs to put the words in order to make the right sentence. Then I have him choose between 3 words (2 wrong words that don't fit and 1 that does) to finish the sentence. He did really good at it :) He walked me out to my car. I told him if we can do his exercises that fast again, we'll have more time to be out on Tuesday :)

Today was really snowy! It was pretty nice in Lake Havasu. I brought Michael a small cowboy boot that he can use for pens, or for whatever he wants. I think he liked it. We worked on exercises before we left, he was anxious to leave. We made a list of some things he needed at the store and then we went over to Walgreen's and then had lunch at Burger King afterwards.

 I needed to change days this week so I came over on Thursday instead of Friday.
We worked on flashcards, exercises, he wasn't too happy about that  (oh damn) he wanted to go to Home Depot. He ended up getting a yellow cactus. We went to  lunch at Burger King and then I dropped him off.

I brought over some more pictures for flash cards and I cut them out and we talked about those. We did exercises, and he did really well today. He was able to pay attention to them. We went up for lunch and then he needed more drinks and razors. He had enough for one or the other, he chose 7-Up. We went to Walgreen's to pick that up. I helped him put them away and then I explained to him again that I wouldn't be over on Friday. I'll see him next Tuesday.

I tried something a little new today. I made separate words to form a sentence with 3 separate words for Michael to choose how the sentence should end. Ex.'I have a purple... car, boat, truck'. He did pretty good at it. He needed a little help to put the the words in the right order. I think I'll add this in with what we do already. He wanted to go to D.I. and he pointed out Millie's on the way and said he wanted to go there afterwards. On the way home he wanted to go to Home Depot. We ran out of time again :/ I'll try and take him on Thursday. I know he really wants to plant some flowers in his flower pots. 
(I'm coming over Thursday this week instead of Friday).

Michael did exercises using letters instead of numbers. We worked on phrases and sentences. Michael had made a list for the store! Good job. We had a Valentine's lunch upstairs and then we went to Walgreen's and got the things he had on his list. He was good at explaining what should go on the shopping list.

Today when we did exercises and since Michael has been having a hard time counting, we did exercises today using letters instead. It went ok. We had lunch upstairs and then he wanted to go to D.I. We came back and I helped him in the shower.

We went to D.I. then the thrift store next door and McDonald's for lunch. Michael wanted to go to Home Depot to look at plants. We didn't have time today but will maybe we can go on Tuesday.

Michael was upstairs sitting in a chair with his coat on. We went down and did his exercises and worked on sentence structure and then we had lunch upstairs. He was telling me he wanted to go to the zoo! He's never brought that up before. I showed him pictures, and that's what he wanted so we headed over to the zoo. I didn't think we would be there as long as we were. It was fun. The zoo has really changed since they re did it. We got to see a lot of different animals. He wanted to go other places afterwards too but I told him I had to go. I won't be going over on Friday, I spent the weeks worth of time with him today! ;) I'm glad he wanted to go to the zoo.

We did exercises and some of Michael's word matching. He said he wanted to go to "Back and forth". I couldn't figure out what he meant but he directed me to to Backyard Birds. I found him standing in line with a pair of earrings! I told him I didn't need them and they were expensive. He then directed me to what I thought would be D.I. but he said "Not that one but the one next to it". I found a vest that I liked and told Michael that I would be right back. I needed to go and get some money from my car. When I came back in, he had already been rung up. He said he bought it for himself ;) the girl laughed and said something like 'that will look really good on you'. I paid him back and then we went to D.I. and when we walked in he said "Let's buy the store".
