Michael gave me another Christmas present. Some pop corn and gloves. We talked about Christmas and then he got out his exercises and we worked on those and he did so good at counting today! I couold tell he was proud of himself ;) We played some matching games on my kindle and he got a kick out of that. He wanted to go to D.I. He bought a horse movie and then we went to another thrift store that we saw. We had lunch at Del Taco. Millies was closed. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I didn't go over to Michael's on Friday I wasn't feeling very good. I'll see him on either Monday or Tuesday. I hope he had a nice weekend and had a nice Christmas too.

When I came in today, Michael had me put the present I brought under his tree and then showed me the little tree that he decorated! It was so dang cute. He got in his drawer's and put things on the tree. He put the umbrella's that he had in a vase on the tree, some sticky dots, paper, a styrofoam ball, and all sorts of things. :) I asked him if he wanted to open his present, he said he did. I bought him some gloves cause that's what he asked for. I hope they work out for him; they seem to fit really well. He gave me a pair of dragonfly earrings :) Thanks Michael! We did his exercises and he had a really hard time with those today! We didn't work on any words; he was having a hard time concentrating. We went upstairs for lunch and dessert and then he walked me to the door.

It was snowing and the roads were really bad today. I was a little late. Michael asked me to sit down and then he wanted to give me a Christmas present. He’s so sweet. I told him I had one for him too and asked if we could both open them on Monday when I came over, he said that was OK. We did his exercises and words and then went upstairs for lunch. We went back down to his room and made another ornament with the bells he had in his drawer. Troy came and told us that there was a program upstairs. It was supposed to be at 3:00 but I’m glad I got to see it too. It was the guy that plays the guitar and sings. It was nice. I was telling Michael bye and he said “Bring it” I told him I would bring his Christmas present on Monday ;) he said "Oh, OK" ;)

Michael was showing me his little tree on his dresser telling me that it was my tree and the bigger one was his. I thought that was cute. We worked on his exercises first and he was having a really hard time today with following directions and counting. After we were done with those, I went over numbers with him and had him read some sentences and he had a hard time on them too. I had him choose between two words and tell me the right one. He did good with that J He wanted to go out to lunch (I had him tell me where we were going first though and he got out ‘lunch’) We went to Burger King again and then he wanted to get more paper or a note pad. He’s out at his place. When we were looking at the paper he picked up a composition book and even said “composition’. I was surprised; it’s kind of a hard word. Or he just knew what it was ;) We talked about Christmas and when I asked him what he wanted, he tried to tell me but I couldn’t get it, I finally got that he wants a new pair of gloves. Thanks for telling me Michael ;)

Michael was trying to tell me what he was out of and needed at the store. He needed some new razors and some more shaving cream. He wanted to go but I told him we had to do his exercises first. We got done with those and then worked on putting words into sentences with the flash cards. We went to Walgreen's and picked up what he needed, looked around a little bit then went back to his place to have lunch. They were going to watch "It's a Wonderful Life" so I went down with him to help put his things away and he walked me upstairs and went to the movie. He's still excited about his Christmas tree :)

Michael was showing me his ornaments that Jerry brought over for us to put on the tree and his other decorations too. He was excited about them. I told him he should put them on and he said smiling, “No, you”. I put one on but had him do the rest. He wanted to go to the store to get a star for the top of the tree. We worked on his exercises first and he had a little bit of a hard time counting. We worked on his flashcards and putting words into sentences. He did pretty good. He was getting anxious about going so we just did a little more words and then went to Walgreens. He picked out a purple star. He had a choice of silver, gold and purple. I was surprised he chose the purple one but glad he picked it out on his own. He got himself another door hanger ornament. It’s a cute little snowman. We went to lunch at Burger King afterwards. “It’s a good as place as any”. We went back and hung his decorations up and put things away. I tried to start a movie for him before I left but the video 2 option wasn’t coming up. 

Michael wanted to go to Walgreens and I.D. I mean D.I. ;) we worked on his exercises first, he did a really good job with his counting today. We got done with exercises a lot sooner. He's
proud of himself when he does a good job. He had a little bit of trouble with his word, phrase's and sentence's today. I made a list of words spelled right and wrong and had him choose the right words. He only got 1 out of 10 wrong. He was anxious to go, so we went to Walgreens first to get some cleaning wipes for his bathroom and then to D.I. He bought a couple movies and then wanted to go to McDonald's for lunch. It was a cold day today. Brrrrr

It snowed a lot today! When I came in, Michael was trying to tell me what he wanted. He finally got out that he wanted to get a Christmas tree to put on top of his dresser by the window! I'm so glad he wants one, last year he wasn't into the holiday's too much. We went to Walgreens and they had the perfect size tree. It even came with lights on it and in a small pot. AND it was senior day so he got the tree for about $17.00! He picked up some HO HO HO letter's too. We went to Crown Burger for lunch then back to his place to put up the tree, exercise and work on words.

Today at Highland Cove they had a Thanksgiving buffet. It was really nice! We ate and visited with some other guests, had dessert and then went down and worked on Michael's exercise's. We worked on some reading too and then went to Walgreens to get some more thumb tacks for his cork board. I hope he has a nice Thanksgiving! 

Michael and I didn't recognize each other for some weird reason today. He was sitting in a chair upstairs and I almost walked by him but stopped. It was kinda funny. He showed me his new boots that he bought with Jerry yesterday. They look pretty cool :) We had some coffee together and then did Michael's exercises. He was counting good today. We even worked with the weights. He showed me his D.I. card and said he wanted to go there today. I found a cork board that I told him he should get. He bought 3 new shirts and some socks too. We went to lunch at McDonald's "It's as good a place as any." He was trying to tell me what we needed for the cork board and was getting frustrated. I was thinking he was telling me we needed a hammer but it was push pins. It's kinda funny, it came with a few and was just the right amount for what we needed now. He walked me up to my car and then went to listen to a guitar player. 

It was a short day today, I had an appointment. Michael was telling me really well using sentences about the 'treasures' he got from a former neighbor. He used about 2-3 really good sentences! We spent today cleaning/straightening up his room and putting things away. We worked on his exercises and he was having a hard time with counting again. We also worked on the fill in the blank/word paper and then he went up to lunch. He was saying that he might go fishing today.

When I came over on Friday I noticed the Macgyver chair. Jerry rigged some speakers so that Michael could listen to his TV without it being so loud. I talked to Jerry about coming on Thursday's instead of Friday's. I'll start that next week. A girl came to the door to see if Michael wanted to go up and make some frozen yogurt. We went up and did that. It turned out pretty good. We came back and did exercises and then worked on Monosyllic, Bisyllic and Trisyllic words., I had him repeat after me and tell me everything we did today. It's good practice to help form sentences. He walked me to the door and went to lunch.

We finished our Turkeys today. It was messier than I thought it would be but they turned out.pretty cute. Michael liked them ;) After we were done with the Turkey's Michael wanted to go to Walgreen's, he was showing me that he was out of coffee. I told him he had enough to last a few days but he didn't think so. When we were driving to Walgreen's he pointed to Crown Burger and said that's where we were going for lunch. I finally signed him up for a Walgreen's card so he can save a bit of money. :) He called Jerry after lunch and told him he was out of money. We went back and did exercises and lifted weights and then he choose to do the matching word to picture paper. Jerry came over and we finished up so he could go to the bank. (Michael was trying to tell me about Jerry catching a goose but Jerry said they went fishing and he caught a duck!) It's a nice day out today.

We worked on getting our turkey's ready to make. We cut out forms for the body, cut out feathers and cut out some turkeys. I need to get a few more supplies and then we can finish

them. We worked on exercises afterwards and Michael was having a hard time focusing on counting. We got them done though and then he went up to lunch. 

It snowed today! Michael was telling me he was going to get new glasses, cool! He showed me a word search that he has in his room. We put the Halloween decorations in the holiday drawer and threw away the pumpkins. They were getting ugly :/ We worked with the weights, did exercises and worked on some of the word search then we went up for lunch. There was a cute turkey on the table and Michael said "We can make one of those". I was up for that! (I was surprised how long he worked on the word search after lunch. He finished the whole thing!) He wanted to go somewhere and when I mentioned going to the store to pick up some things to make a turkey, he said OK, let's go! He was excited :) when we went outside "God damn it's cold!" He said that at lunch too about his steak and made one of the guys at the table laugh. We went to Dollar Tree and we have some things to make really inventive turkeys ;) He wanted to go to Best Buy too. He picked up a couple things he said he needed. 

I didn't go over on Friday, I wasn't feeling well.

We tried to hurry through Michael's exercises today cause he wanted to go to D.I. I told him we had to do exercises first and some reading before we could go. We finally got done. He

remembered a lot of the fill in the blanks and the sentences. He did great! "OK let's go"... We went to D.I and he bought 3 shirts and 4 movies. We had lunch at Millie's afterwards and on the way back he said "We need to stop in there sometime" He's said that before about Backyard Birds, so we went in today and looked around. They have lots of stuff! We stopped at Dollar Tree too, he wanted to get another skeleton to hang up on his other light. I helped to put it up and started a movie before I left.

I let Michael know that I could only stay for a little bit today. I had to be somewhere at 1:00 today. We worked on his exercises; he was having a hard time concentrating and counting. He did a good job though after he focused. We played a couple card matching games and I had him read some of his ‘Word, phrase and sentence’s'. He walked with me upstairs and went to lunch. He said “You’ll stay longer next time?” I told him I would ;)

Today was our carving pumpkins day. When I came in, Michael showed me a shirt that he got from the people upstairs. Cute ghost shirt. :) I got everything ready and had Michael pick from about 4 different faces to put on his pumpkin. He drew the face on and he cut it out (I helped a little). It turned out really good! He had a lot better concept of doing this this year. When we were almost done he said "Put a candle in it." Good thinking Michael! We went for a drive and got some lunch and took it to the park again today. It was a really nice day. We stopped on the way back at Walgreen's to pick up a few things. We didn't have time to exercise but we did walk at the park. He was reading signs and telling me the names of cars. He was talking and putting things together really well today.

 I brought a couple pumpkins over today and a new skeleton; this one, with a head. Michael was upstairs making a glass pumpkin! What a fun activity. They had mason jars and orange tissue paper and used Mod Podge to put it on. It turned out really good! He even wanted to make the ghost! He’s usually ‘done’ when he does an activity and is ready to go but he really liked doing this activity. It was good to see. One of the girls at the activity said that he shows her his wreath he made when she comes to tell/get him for activities. I think he likes it! ;) He was excited to get the pumpkins and was asking when we were going to carve them. He decided he wanted to carve instead of just draw on them. It will be fun. Before I left I had him do his exercises. I walked up with him to lunch and he walked me to the door. We’ll carve our pumpkins on Tuesday.

Today we did and went to places we haven't gone before. We first started by doing Michael's exercises. He counted a lot better today too. While we were doing those, his nurse Cathy came in for a bit just to see how he is doing. It was nice to meet her. We finished up and then I mentioned going to get some Halloween decorations and making something too. He seemed excited "OK!" We went to Dollar Tree and picked up some things to make a fall wreath and a couple Halloween decorations for his room, and then we picked up some lunch at Yanni's Greek Express and took it over to Fairmont park. We sat on a bench in the sun. It was nice. When we got back, he did a really good job on his wreath! It turned out really well. We hung it on the wall when he was done. He keeps talking about pumpkins, he's excited about those. Maybe I'll bring some over on Friday so he will have them over the weekend and then we can either carve or draw on them on Tuesday.

Michael was upstairs doing an activity. They were making pumpkin bars. After they mixed up the batter, we all talked about Halloween and Fall time and what everyone used to do around that time and what they used to dress up as when they were younger. There were some good stories. He was telling everyone in a round about way that we are going to carve pumpkins. He wants to do them now but I told him by the time Halloween came they would be rotten but we would do them soon. Everyone iced their pumpkin bars and when Michael was done he wanted to show me the picture that Jerry gave him. It looks nice hung on his wall. We did his exercises; he had a hard time counting again today. When he was done with exercises he walked me to the front door and then he went and had lunch. He wanted me to go and eat with him today telling me "You don't have to go..."

Michael took a while to do his exercises today. He was having a hard time focusing on counting. We finally got them done and it's kind of a good thing it took longer because Jerry showed up to take him to the doctors. He called me and left a message but I didn't get it on my pone. Usually we would be out at the time he came. Michael told me he was going to the doctors today but not to worry about it cause 'Your not taking me'. We were on our way out to go pick up some hair gel that Michael said he needed. I hope the doctors goes well. 

Michael was upstairs today just finishing up his exercises! I heard from the activities director Debra that he has been participating more in the morning stretches. That's good to hear. He was watching a movie. We watched a lot of it together, he has always wanted to watch a movie with me. He got up and wanted to show me something down in his room. His calendar had fallen off, we fixed it ;) We did his exercises and he showed me his weights. He said he has been using them. :) He walked me out to my car. He wanted me to stay longer and go with him to lunch. I told him I could stay longer on Tuesday.
(He reminded me that I had his coat in my car. I'm glad because I forgot about it).

Today we emptied out a couple of Michael planters and we can use those in the spring/summer again. We talked about the weekend and when I asked him what he did he said "Everything and nothing." I forgot to ask him about his fishing trip last week. He said he wasn't able to go :( He talked about catching big fish today though. I asked him if he wanted to go bowling today and he said "We can wait til it get's cold for that". He got the D.I. card out and the card that looks like my car and showed me he wanted to go in my car to D.I. I had him read it to me. We did his exercises first. He found 3 shirts that he wanted but he only had enough money for 1. He really likes it :) I had him get a couple of weights too. One is a 5 lb. weight and one is a 10 lb. weight. He said he would use them when I'm not there. We had lunch at McDonald's and when we came back, I had him start a movie and told him that I had to go. "What's your hurry." 

When I came over today one of the staff was in Michael’s room trying to fix his T.V. It was staticy, probably from the weather. She mentioned that they were making heating pads if he wanted to go up and make one. We visited for a little bit then I asked him if he wanted to gomake a heating pad, he said ‘ya, let’s go’. I figured we would do his exercises when we got back. He was really into it and even sewed a lot of it on his own! He did a really good job and even made a pillow type case to put over it. We didn't have time to do exercises today but he did walk me to my car before he went to lunch. I forgot to ask him if he went fishing. 

We will work on his schedule next time I go over too.

Michael was sitting in the dark watching T.V. when I came over today. (I think he likes the light as much as I do, especially in the morning ;) ) He showed me his new pants he was wearing that he got from Jerry. I had to have him turn on the lights though ;) they looked nice. He poured me some coffee too. He said that he and Jerry are going fishing later on today. He could not focus on his exercises today at all. I think he had too much on his mind and was too excited about going fishing. He did finally get them done though. I had him work on word matching today. I didn’t want him to have to worry about too many words today.. He did a good job and walked me out to my car and then went and had lunch. I hope he has a fun time fishing :)

We worked on Michael's exercises and did his words today. I was explaining what monosyllabic, bi-syllabic and tri-syllabic words were and had him work on one paper of each of those kinds of words. He did pretty good.

Michael had just gotten out of the shower when I came over today. He made us some coffee and tried to tell me that Jerry is up in the mountains. We highlighted some things for him to do this week on his calendar and then we worked on his flashcards today. I was showing him the pictures and and I had him tell me what the picture was and what it was used for. When we got to the toothbrush and toothpaste flashcard he told me he was out of toothpaste. We finished the flashcards and did exercises and then went to Walgreen's to pick up some toothpaste. I had to leave for an appointment so I dropped him off to go and have lunch. I think it's funny when he say's gooolllly. :)

Yikes it;s Friday the 13th. Today we just worked on Michael's exercises and then practiced his word, phrase and sentence's paper and his fill in the blank paper. He was having a hard time with his words today. It took him a while to work on those. He walked me to my car and then he went to lunch. Well, nothing bad happened today ;)

It was an interesting day today. After we did exercises and then went to Walgreen's and  D.I. Michael wanted to go to Sugarhouse BBQ, but there was no parking anywhere so we went to McDonald's instead. I told him we would have to go to the other place either earlier in the day or later when it wasn't so busy. When we were driving back to do some of his word/sentence’s we saw an accident. It was really bad and we were there for a while. We didn't get a chance to work on any words today. Michael had to remind me to get the sack from Walgreen's out of the car. I forgot all about it.

(He gave me some slippers today. It was nice, he wouldn't tell me where he got them but it was nice. I do actually need a pair ;) )

Today I found Michael upstairs, he was just finishing a chocolate covered banana. :) When he was done we went and worked on his exercises. He did a good job today! He said “Let’s go” and showed me his D.I. card. I had him read it to me and then we went to D.I.  He bought a new hat but I think he’s going to give it to Jerry. We went to Millie’s and sat outside and had lunch. He saw a yard sale on the way back and had me turn around to go and look at it. They didn't have much, but it was fun for him to look. He saw a red hat and he said “There ya go, for you”. For some reason, he’s always trying to buy me a hat. Maybe I have a lot of bad hair days. ;) He’s nice to always think of others when he is out shopping. When we got back we went up and listened to Matsiko, a Children’s choir. It was so cool! They are all from Africa or the surrounding area. They were so cute and so fun to watch. Michael wanted to buy me something but I told him I would like him to give money to them for a home in their village. He went up to a board they had and put in a dollar. :) It was a fun and long day today but I’m glad Michael went to see the kids sing.

I came over today instead of yesterday. Both me and Michael had Doctor’s appointments. He said it was just for a checkup and that everything was fine. We put his plants on his dresser; the sun is burning the leaves. We’ll see how they do now. We worked on Michael’s exercises and then he made me some coffee after words. He chose to work on his words. He was having a hard time with them today. He wanted to go somewhere today but I told him we would go out on Friday instead.

Michael was funny today saying “Goooollly a lot”. He knows his cars and trucks ;) The Millcreek cookout got cancelled for today. It was iffy weather. We will go when it gets re-scheduled. We worked on his exercises and his flashcards. He did really well on putting words into sentences and spent a lot of time getting it right. After he was done with that he said “Let’s go”. I had him show me and tell me where he wanted to go. We went to D.I. and then had lunch at Millie’s after. He bought himself 3 new shirts! He really likes his white one.

Michael fixed me some coffee; I guess I looked pretty tired. He asked me if I got my tire fixed. I told him I did.We cleaned up his plants, had coffee and tried to take our coffee and papers outside to work on them but it was really windy. We came back inside and worked on his matching paper and other words. He gave me some earrings today too. They were in the same type of Macey’s box that the watch was in too. That guy…We didn't do exercises today other than walk around Highland Cove. He was just getting back from exercises when I came over today.

I came over today instead of Tuesday. I was in Olympia WA. We worked on Michael’s exercises and some of his words. I told him we couldn't go out today. I blew out a tire on the way back from WA and had been driving on a spare for a long time. I got back really late last night and I’ll get new tires later today.

Michael was watching T.V. When we were starting to do his exercises, he told me he had something for me. I thought it was the bag of socks that he has but he got the sack and opened it. It was a new hat that say’s ‘princess’ on it. That was sweet. He’s always thinking of others :) He got worn out when we did he exercises; he took a break before we worked on his words. We went outside and sat on the bench and we worked on his monosyllable words. We did other words too that were a little bit harder. We went back and put his folder away and then he walked me to my car and he went to lunch.

We filled out the rest of his calendar for the month of August.

When I came in today, Michael was watching TV and having a cup of coffee. He asked me to have a cup too. We sat and drank our coffee and talked. When we were done, we did his exercises and then went upstairs. He wanted to go look at the hat place. He was saying that it was open. We walked up a bit and saw that it wasn’t open yet. We walked back and he was showing me the places that are in front of Highland Cove; the place that he wants to move into. We went back down to water his plants and then we were going to go to the park to work on his words and sentences. Before we even left we had to turn around and come back. I got Michael in the shower and then we went up to lunch. He walked me out to my car afterwards.

(I thought we would go on the Tracy Aviary activity they had planned today but it got cancelled.)

Today we worked on Michael's exercises while maintenance was in fixing his clogged up sink. We highlighted some things on the calendar for him to do next week. He chose his word and picture matching paper to do today. We went outside and sat on the bench by the Aspen tree. He did a good job reading and matching the words to pictures. We went back in and put his folder away and he walked me to my car and then he went to lunch. When I told him I had to go he said “No you don’t, you need to stay here”. ;)

Michael was watching TV when I came over today. We took care of his plants and talked about what he did over the weekend. He said he didn't go on any drives this weekend. :( We worked on one of the monosyllable papers. I had him read all the words on the paper. We did his exercises and I had to have him keep starting over. I have him count to 10 on each exercise; he wasn't able to do that too much today. I did push him a bit with reading and his exercises today. We went up to lunch and used the free guest meal. Thanks Michael! He was trying to tell me where he wanted to go and I waited until he could somewhat tell me and then we walked up to see if the hat place has opened up yet. We walked back, sat on a bench for a few minutes and then I had to leave. I think I wore him out today. (He had a coffee mug in a bag and was telling me it was for my Dad :) he’s so dang sweet).

The blog hasn't been working for about a month, but it's up and running again. I've added in all of July. 

(I have pictures in my phone of Michael but I've lost the memory card. I will add them when and if I can figure out how to directly add them from my phone.)

Michael had a few things in his room and when I asked him where he got them he said “For you”. I told him it was nice to think about me but I didn't need any more furniture. I tried to explain how more things aren't always the best. We did his exercises and read a few words and then he wanted to go and see if the hat shop is opened yet. It’s right by the entrance to Highland Cove. We walked up to the entrance and noticed it hadn't opened yet. We walked back inside and he went to lunch. He showed me the card for the free guest meal at Highland Cove that he got in his Birthday card. I told him we could use that next week. :) We also highlighted some activities on the Highland Cove calender.

Michael was upstairs doing an activity. He was making a desert with a few other people. We went downstairs and he showed me a Birthday card that he got from the staff at Highland Cove. I gave him a Birthday Card and then I was going to take him to a movie but everything had already started and the only movie playing was a cartoon type movie. He wasn't too into that so went to D.I. and I bought him a new CD and then I took him to lunch at Sugarhouse BBQ for his

Birthday. He really likes that place, he even bought himself a new T-shirt from there. He got a call from Jerry as we were heading back. He said he is going to go fishing later on tonight :) I helped to put in his new movie before I left. I hope he was a good day and a good Birthday!

I came over later today. When I came in Michael was watching T.V. I had him do his exercises and then he said “Hey, let’s go somewhere.” He told me where he wanted to go with his cards. He got out his flash cards first and started reading them and he read the flashcards with the words on them that fit into sentences too. We went to Walgreen's to pick up a few things and then I dropped him off and told him we would do something for his Birthday on Friday when I came over. (He bought me a purple Sharpie today too. Thanks Michael :) )

Michael was telling me he got a new bed today. He was upstairs when I came over and wanted to show me so he took me down to see his new bed. We did his exercises and added some new ones that the PT showed me on Tuesday. (I’ll be printing up pictures of the new exercises too). Michael said “Let’s go somewhere.” I asked him where he wanted to go and he got the D.I. card out to show me. We practiced on saying where he wanted to go and on the drive there he was reading signs to me. :) He wanted to buy me all sorts of things at D.I. I had to keep telling him I didn't need anything. He’s so sweet to think of me though. He bought a new DVD about dinosaurs. He was pointing to Crown Burger on our way to D.I. so we went there afterwards for lunch. He is going to get his haircut today too.

I came over a little later today. We visited and highlighted some more activities for him to do at Highland Cove. We worked on Michael’s exercises and the PT came just as he was finishing up. He was telling me the exercises he has him do. I’ll be getting pictures of those too and add those to what we do already.

Today we worked on Michael’s exercises and some of his papers from speech therapy. He was showing me he was out of shaving cream. We went to Walgreen's and picked up some more. I told him Jerry would be at his place to talk to him. We went back and put his shaving cream away. I was showing him how much to use. We had just bought some recently and I think he uses too much ;) We went up and he walked me to the front door asking when I was going to come back. :) He went and had lunch.

Michael said he had a good 4^th of July yesterday. When I came in I noticed he got a new flat screen TV! :) Yay good for him. He wanted to go right away to look for a new bed? We did his
 exercises first and then he was telling me ‘we have to go now’. I tried to ask him where we were going but all I got was “I’ll show ya”. We ended up at Linda’s Furniture. I told him it was expensive and I didn't think they had beds but he wanted to go and look. We weren't in there long before he said “Let’s go”. We went to D.I. to look around. I let him buy me a belt for .50 today. That was nice of him! (I guess I’m always pulling up my pants) ;) We went to McDonald's after and had lunch and then drove up to Sugarhouse park and walked around the pond and sat and looked at all of the ducks. He went for a good walk today. He made some funny comments today too.

It was a hot day today. Since it's the 4th of July on Thursday, I thought we would do a project. We made a flag and talked about the 4th of July and what it means. We talked about other

holidays too. We worked on exercises afterwards and then his DVD player too. Michael had a hard time keeping count on his exercises. He showed me a new shirt that he got with Jerry at D.I. We walked up to lunch and he walked me out.

I can't remember what we did today but I'm sure we did exercises and worked on some of his papers. I think we worked on his DVD player too. I can't remember what else we did :/

Michael wanted to go to D.I. today. We did his exercises first and worked on some of his speech therapy papers. We left but had to come back for a few minutes. We left for D.I. again and he ended up buying a new hat. We went up to lunch afterwards.

Michael went to a Bee's baseball game on Wednesday! He said he had a good time and that it was a 'long day'. We did his exercises and worked on speech therapy. He brought me the words to match to pictures so we worked on that. We tried to work on a couple of things I brought over. It was a little confusing. He was telling me that he found the ducks again. When I was there the other day he said he found some baby ducks. When the time came, we walked around the back way and he walked me to my car while we looked for the ducks, then he went into lunch. 

Michael was saying he was out of something. We figured out it was shaving cream and razors. We went to Walgreen's to pick those two things up. He always likes to look around the store too. He was looking at the price of something and said "Golllly" it was funny. We stopped at Burger King and took our lunch to the park. It was really windy today! We ate lunch and worked on his words from speech therapy that I brought with me. He exercised by walking in Walgreen's and at the park. I drove him back and dropped him off.

I made it to Michae's this morning ;) We went out to the front of the building, they had a piano and chairs outside and we sang songs and watched the flag being put up for flag day. Michael did good at singing. We went in and did his exercises and worked on the flashcards and matching cards to like items. He went up to luch for Father's Day. They had tables set up outside and decorated for flag day. It was a fun morning for him.

Michael was really sweet today to ask about my Dad. When I walked in he said “How is your Dad doing?” He asked what his name is too. When we were out in my car he said

“We’ll have to go and visit him sometime.” I thought that was really nice.

We worked on his exercises and some of his speech therapy word papers and then we went to D.I. He found a John Wayne DVD set. :) We went to lunch after at Millie’s and then I dropped him off at his place. It was nice weather today.

(Michael’s flowers are growing really well!)

I forgot to go to Michaels today! He called me and I talked to Jerry. He asked if I was coming over today and I said not on Thursday but on Friday. It is Friday! I will be there next Friday for sure. I’ve been confused with my Dad in the hospital.

Michael had his speech therapist come over this morning. We did his exercises and then worked on some of the papers that he left for him to do. He had a hard time doing them. I think the combination of the ones he does already, along with all these new papers is confusing and a little hard for him. I was going to go up and eat with him or just sit with him for a bit but we took a while finishing the speech therapy papers.

I was only over for an hour today. I brought some things for us to decorate the flower pots with that Michael bought the other day. We covered the flower pots and cut out flowers to put on them. After that we worked on some new papers I had printed out.
 The girl today was pretty adamant that it was time for Michael to go to lunch.

When I went to Michaels this morning, I couldn’t find him. The girl at the front desk told me he was sitting out front with the speech therapist and then was getting on the bus to go to Antelope Island. I didn’t go and see him. I didn’t want him to think he needed to stay because I was there, or that he would want me to come with him when I couldn’t. I just called Jerry to let him know why I didn’t stay today.

I called Michael Thursday night to let him know I wouldn't be over in the morning. My dad is in the hospital. I will see him on Tuesday though and we can work on getting his flower pots looking better.  I bought some colored construction paper to put around the base of the flowers.

When I walked in, Michael was showing me a box. He said it was for me! It was wrapped in tissue. He bought me a watch! I asked him where he got it from and he said “Don’t you worry about that”. He’s always trying to buy me things or saying he’s going to buy me

things. I don’t like to accept gifts, but he had it in a box for me and seemed happy to give it to me. What a thoughtful and sweet guy! :) We went to Home Depot and he picked out some shade flowers for his room. When we got back, we got the flowers set up then practiced his words, sentences and phrases. I had him tell me what we did today and after I was talking about the flowers I said "And then we" and Michael said "Liken em" Great responce! He went up to lunch after that.
