When I first got to Michael's, he said "I gotta show you somethin". He showed me the pigeons eating out of his birdhouse. They are tall enough and can reach ;) I just hope they don't scare the other little birds away. We got his list that we made on Friday and went to Walgreen's and then to D.I. to look around. We made it back a little late for lunch. He wants to get some small pumpkins for decoration. He saw them in the plants out front. We'll start decorating for fall and Halloween soon. He has his fall wreath on his door. 

Michael did really well with his exercises today. At one point, he was counting then stopped and said "Hey wait a minute." He knew his mistake and started over. He's always so happy when he knows he did a good job. We practiced some word fill in the blanks too. We went up to lunch then down to his room to make a list for Walgreens on Tuesday.

Michael was upstairs in the lobby waiting for me. We cleaned up a little bit then went to Walgreen's to pick up a few things that he needs. We went to Thrift on 33rd. He said "We haven't been here for a while". It's always nice to go someplace different. He found a skull that lights up. He liked it so I bought it for him. Good deal for only $1.00!. When we went downstairs, I was showing him how to turn on the light so that the eyes would glow. He made me laugh. "Oh God damn"! I think he'll have fun with that. It's almost time to start decorating for the Holiday's.

Today Highland Cove had a car show. It was supposed to be yesterday, but it rained. I was glad to be able to see it too. We went outside and walked around looking at all the old cars. They had lunch outside too. It was a fun day looking and talking about the cars. I took a picture of the car that Michael liked the best. We worked on exercises and words before we went to Walgreen's. He had a hard time with them and couldn't really focus. I don't know if it's because he hasn't done them for a while or if he was having an off day.

I think we went to D.I. today, it's what Michael picked to do. We stopped at another thrift store too but they were closed. We ended up going to lunch at Arby's.

Michael had a low pulse today, we just went for a walk and didn't do exercises. He was a little short on breath. (Heidi took his BP and told me about it). We went up to the cook group and had apple cider shake's. It was interesting. I asked Michael if he liked it, he had a look on his face like he didn't but he said that he did. We waited upstairs for moment of silence. 

Today we put the bird food in the newly painted bird house cups. We put it by the original bird feeder and will see how it does. Michael said he wanted to go to Walgreen's. We picked up some Root Beer then went to Home Depot and looked at plants. Afterwards, we went back to Highland Cove and had lunch. I started a movie for him before I left.

Yay! The cup stayed glued to the birdhouse this time. We glued on the other cup and will fill it on Tuesday and see if it works. Michael told me that he went fishing with Jerry. He didn't catch anything this time, but he said he had fun. We did his Exercise's today then worked on some word pronunciation and fill in the blanks with appropriate words. Jerry left a message to go and pick up some lotion. We went to Walgreen's and picked some up and then went to lunch at Crown Burger. (After Walgreen's he said 'let's go down the street'. I told him we could only go to the store today and if he wanted to go to D.I. he would have to wait until Tuesday. I think that's where he wanted me to take him. He just looked at me and said 'Smartie Pants' with a grin on his face.) I helped him start a movie before I left.

We had to re-glue the cup back on the birdhouse. We'll see if it works this time. Instead of exercises, we went to Walmart to pick up some bird food and Michael found a pot of flowers that he liked. He got them half off! We went to Good will and looked around. We came back and I re-potted his flowers while he filled his buckets and the bird feeder with the bird food. We cleaned up and I went up to lunch with him. He said that he might go fishing with Jerry tomorrow.

We tried to glue the cups to the bird house but it wasn't sticking very well. We're going to let it dry over the weekend and see if it will work. We went to Walgreen's then back for lunch. Michael wasn't feeling very well, I had him eat some soup. We'll get bird food on Tuesday. I asked him to lay down and rest before I left.
