Happy Birthday Michael! 

Michael needed to pick up some bird food, it looks like the birds are starting to eat it again. Yay! We didn't do exercises today, I thought that would be a nice break for today. I told him I would take him to pick something out that he wanted for his Birthday and take him to lunch too. He found a straw hat he's been wanting. He said it would make a good  'fishing hat' We went to lunch at Sugar House BBQ Then came back and filled his feeder. I noticed that he had some soil so we re planted his flowers. I hope he has the rest of a Happy Birthday. It was a fun day. He said he might go fishing tomorrow.
 I told him I wouldn't be over on Friday cause I'll be moving.

Happy 24th of July! Michael needed to pick up some drinks, he's doing really good with those. We went to the store after he did his exercises and worked on some words. He talked about going to D.I. today but I told him since it was a holiday they will probably be closed, he said 'noo'. I tried to call them with no answer so we just ended up going to the store to pick up drinks that he needed. After wards, he wanted to go to Crown Burger for lunch He said "That place is pretty good". We came back and I helped him put his drinks away, then helped him start a movie. I watch that with him for a few minutes before I left. 

We didn't get a chance to go out today. Michael had a Dr. Appt at 1:00. We had a hard time getting exercises and words done in time to go out. Jerry came over and he took Michael up to lunch. We will go out on Friday.

Michael said he had something for me today. When we went downstairs, he got out a box with tissue paper and a bracelet on top! He made me a bracelet yesterday. It's with blue, green and white beads. He's so sweet. He was so happy that I liked it. We worked on his exercises and did some word matching and then went up to lunch. I started a movie for him before I left and told him to have a good weekend.

We didn't do exercises today. First time in a long time! I felt Michael needed a break. He was showing me that he was out of some things. We worked on his words and sentences and then we went to the store to pick up what he is out of. He chose to go to Sugarhouse BBQ afterwards. He really likes that place! He said "We go here all the time". After lunch, we came back and I was going to start a movie for Michael but he didn't want one. (When we were at his place, before we left for the store, I was checking to make sure Michael had enough money for the things he needed. He said "I can buy a girlfriend". I thought that was funny.) 

We got through all of Michael's exercises today, even some we haven't done for a while. We did a little bit of reading and fill in the blanks. We visited, talked about his plants... he showed me some new shirts 😊 I hope he will wear them. After lunch he didn't want to start a movie before I left. I asked him to think about where he wants to go on Tuesday.

I had a flyer for Arts in the Park at Murray Park. We did exercises first before we left. I picked up some lunch at the cafe they have there and we sat and listened to music. When we were done with lunch, Michael wanted to go. We stayed a bit longer, enjoyed the weather and listened to music. We stopped at the store on the way back.

Michael did really good with exercises today but his counting carried over to reading words. We took a break and started over. He was having a hard time saying the words that he usually doesn't have a hard time with. We stopped after a while and just went up to lunch. I helped him start a movie before I left. He seemed better by that time.

Tuesday June 30, 2015

Michael has had a hard time focusing again today with his exercises and also his word matching. He wasn't as able to say the words he needed to as well as he usually does. It has taken us a little longer to get things done before we can go out. We went to pick up some coffee and went to Burger King after lunch. We came back and I started movie for him before I left.

Friday June 26,2015

Michael had a super hard time focusing and following directions today when we did his exercises. We took a break, then did a couple of chair exercises. Michael helped me get his picture in his frame. It fit perfectly. We worked on a couple sentences and then went up for lunch. Jerry is picking Michael up a little later.
