I came over a little later today. Michael was sitting upstairs in the foyer. He took me downstairs to show me the note about his fridge. I turned it back on for him. It was defrosting. We talked about birdhouses and decided to go and look at Dollar Tree and then go to Walgreen's and out to lunch. Dollar Tree didn't have any birdhouses. (I want to get a plain wooden one that he can paint himself). We walked over to Big Lots but they didn't have any either. We went and picked up the things on his list at Walgreen's. He was really good at just going in the store and getting just what he needed without wanting to get other things too. We went to Burger King afterwards. He looked at his watch and was telling me we would be back 'just in time'. I wasn't sure what he was talking about but when we got back, he showed me the 'walk for a cause' at the front desk that they have been doing. I mentioned earlier that we needed to do his exercises, he just said 'no'. Now I know why. I guess he is a good walker and likes to go on the walks. I thought it was pretty cool that he wanted to get back for that. :)

Today after Michael's exercises, I had him make a list of a couple things that he needed at the store. We went to Walgreen's, but they were closed due to the power outage. I pole had fallen around 45th So. and power was out all over, even at Michael's. We were going to go and look for a birdhouse but the places we went today were all closed. We will go and do that on Tuesday. 

Today we had a nice long day. Michael was telling me about a new place. He didn't know the name, but knew where it was. We did his exercises first and then he showed me the 'new place'. It's called The Denim Connection. We looked around in there and he asked me if I liked it and said they have a lot of stuff in there. We drove to the Sugar house thrift shop and looked around in there. He picked up a movie there. D.I. was next but we just looked around. We went to eat at Millie's then went back to his place and started his new movie.

Michael had another Dr. Apt. Today so I didn't go over but will spend more time with him on Tuesday.

I told Michael last week we could go to D.I. He wanted to go last week but he had appointment's and I didn't have time on Friday. We worked on his exercises first, he did the same thing when I asked him about his numbers. I asked what happened to them and he said "Over there". We went to D.I. and he couldn't find anything. We went to lunch at Millie's afterwards and then I drove him back and started a movie for him.

We just worked on exercises today. The last few times, Michael has skipped some numbers while counting to ten. When I asked him what happened to the other numbers he says "They flew away that way". It's kinda funny :)

I didn't have a lot of time to spend with Michael today. He was saying that he wanted to go to D.I. I wrote it on the calendar that we would go next Tuesday. While I was writing it on the calendar, he was telling me he wanted 'a new one'. He said he wanted a calendar with 'girls' on it. It made me laugh. I'll have to find him a 50's pin up girl calendar ;) We worked on his exercises and flash card sentences. He did really good at putting the words in the right order. 

When we were doing Michael's exercises today, we got to one of the exercises and it has a guy showing the exercise. He said "There's your buddy" It was funny. We did exercises, then we went to Walgreens to get him some more shaving creme. We got back to his place, put everything away and then I had lunch with him upstairs. We walked around the building and he walked me to my car.

Michael's neighbor got kind of mad at him today. When I got there, he had the door open and his TV on. I shut the door and explained that it might bother some people, and asked him to keep his door shut while the TV is on. He made us coffee and we practiced his fill in the blank and phrase paper. It was his choice. He said "Thank you" when we were done with the paper, it was nice :) We did a few exercises and then we went upstairs. Michael walked me to the door and then went to lunch.
He showed me he was out of shaving creme. I told him we could go out on Tuesday and get that and then maybe pick up something to eat and take it to the park.

It's a really nice day today. When we did Michael's exercises, I didn't make him count unless he wanted to. I thought I'd give him a break. ;) I had him do his fill in the blank and phrase paper. He did a really good job at concentrating and thinking of the right words that would fit. We went up to lunch and afterwards, we walked outside; sat on the bench for a bit and looked at some of the flowers that are coming up. He walked me to my car, I mentioned he should go for a walk and said he was going to go and take a nap. At lunch I mentioned that we should make something for Easter. He said "Ya, OK!" 

Michael showed me the glasses he got the other day. Web both tried them on.I took a picture of him with them on and he took a picture of me. He said he would take them back. We did his exercises then went up to lunch. After lunch we went back downstairs and he chose to work on matching words to pictures. Michael walked me to the door when I had to leave.
