Michael was upstairs today just finishing up his exercises! I heard from the activities director Debra that he has been participating more in the morning stretches. That's good to hear. He was watching a movie. We watched a lot of it together, he has always wanted to watch a movie with me. He got up and wanted to show me something down in his room. His calendar had fallen off, we fixed it ;) We did his exercises and he showed me his weights. He said he has been using them. :) He walked me out to my car. He wanted me to stay longer and go with him to lunch. I told him I could stay longer on Tuesday.
(He reminded me that I had his coat in my car. I'm glad because I forgot about it).

Today we emptied out a couple of Michael planters and we can use those in the spring/summer again. We talked about the weekend and when I asked him what he did he said "Everything and nothing." I forgot to ask him about his fishing trip last week. He said he wasn't able to go :( He talked about catching big fish today though. I asked him if he wanted to go bowling today and he said "We can wait til it get's cold for that". He got the D.I. card out and the card that looks like my car and showed me he wanted to go in my car to D.I. I had him read it to me. We did his exercises first. He found 3 shirts that he wanted but he only had enough money for 1. He really likes it :) I had him get a couple of weights too. One is a 5 lb. weight and one is a 10 lb. weight. He said he would use them when I'm not there. We had lunch at McDonald's and when we came back, I had him start a movie and told him that I had to go. "What's your hurry." 

When I came over today one of the staff was in Michael’s room trying to fix his T.V. It was staticy, probably from the weather. She mentioned that they were making heating pads if he wanted to go up and make one. We visited for a little bit then I asked him if he wanted to gomake a heating pad, he said ‘ya, let’s go’. I figured we would do his exercises when we got back. He was really into it and even sewed a lot of it on his own! He did a really good job and even made a pillow type case to put over it. We didn't have time to do exercises today but he did walk me to my car before he went to lunch. I forgot to ask him if he went fishing. 

We will work on his schedule next time I go over too.

Michael was sitting in the dark watching T.V. when I came over today. (I think he likes the light as much as I do, especially in the morning ;) ) He showed me his new pants he was wearing that he got from Jerry. I had to have him turn on the lights though ;) they looked nice. He poured me some coffee too. He said that he and Jerry are going fishing later on today. He could not focus on his exercises today at all. I think he had too much on his mind and was too excited about going fishing. He did finally get them done though. I had him work on word matching today. I didn’t want him to have to worry about too many words today.. He did a good job and walked me out to my car and then went and had lunch. I hope he has a fun time fishing :)

We worked on Michael's exercises and did his words today. I was explaining what monosyllabic, bi-syllabic and tri-syllabic words were and had him work on one paper of each of those kinds of words. He did pretty good.

Michael had just gotten out of the shower when I came over today. He made us some coffee and tried to tell me that Jerry is up in the mountains. We highlighted some things for him to do this week on his calendar and then we worked on his flashcards today. I was showing him the pictures and and I had him tell me what the picture was and what it was used for. When we got to the toothbrush and toothpaste flashcard he told me he was out of toothpaste. We finished the flashcards and did exercises and then went to Walgreen's to pick up some toothpaste. I had to leave for an appointment so I dropped him off to go and have lunch. I think it's funny when he say's gooolllly. :)

Yikes it;s Friday the 13th. Today we just worked on Michael's exercises and then practiced his word, phrase and sentence's paper and his fill in the blank paper. He was having a hard time with his words today. It took him a while to work on those. He walked me to my car and then he went to lunch. Well, nothing bad happened today ;)

It was an interesting day today. After we did exercises and then went to Walgreen's and  D.I. Michael wanted to go to Sugarhouse BBQ, but there was no parking anywhere so we went to McDonald's instead. I told him we would have to go to the other place either earlier in the day or later when it wasn't so busy. When we were driving back to do some of his word/sentence’s we saw an accident. It was really bad and we were there for a while. We didn't get a chance to work on any words today. Michael had to remind me to get the sack from Walgreen's out of the car. I forgot all about it.

(He gave me some slippers today. It was nice, he wouldn't tell me where he got them but it was nice. I do actually need a pair ;) )

Today I found Michael upstairs, he was just finishing a chocolate covered banana. :) When he was done we went and worked on his exercises. He did a good job today! He said “Let’s go” and showed me his D.I. card. I had him read it to me and then we went to D.I.  He bought a new hat but I think he’s going to give it to Jerry. We went to Millie’s and sat outside and had lunch. He saw a yard sale on the way back and had me turn around to go and look at it. They didn't have much, but it was fun for him to look. He saw a red hat and he said “There ya go, for you”. For some reason, he’s always trying to buy me a hat. Maybe I have a lot of bad hair days. ;) He’s nice to always think of others when he is out shopping. When we got back we went up and listened to Matsiko, a Children’s choir. It was so cool! They are all from Africa or the surrounding area. They were so cute and so fun to watch. Michael wanted to buy me something but I told him I would like him to give money to them for a home in their village. He went up to a board they had and put in a dollar. :) It was a fun and long day today but I’m glad Michael went to see the kids sing.

I came over today instead of yesterday. Both me and Michael had Doctor’s appointments. He said it was just for a checkup and that everything was fine. We put his plants on his dresser; the sun is burning the leaves. We’ll see how they do now. We worked on Michael’s exercises and then he made me some coffee after words. He chose to work on his words. He was having a hard time with them today. He wanted to go somewhere today but I told him we would go out on Friday instead.
